13 Best Zombie TV Shows On Netflix

[ad_1]

When it comes to zombie shows on Netflix, there is a lot for horror fans to choose from. The best thing about the offerings on the streaming giant is that these shows come in different flavors as well. There are pure horror zombie shows with a nice mix of comedies and even some sci-fi zombie horror. Add in the teen drama genre, and there might be a zombie show for everyone on the service. However, the problem is that, with the exception of successful Netflix originals, these do not always stick around on Netflix for long.

With The Walking Dead finally ending its successful run on AMC after 11 seasons, there might be a new desire for something fresh and Netflix might be the place to turn. While all 11 seasons of that zombie series – the most successful of all time – is available on Netflix, there are plenty of other zombie shows for anyone looking for something new. With stars like Drew Barrymore, Jaime King, and Bruce Campbell, and both animated and foreign options, there might be something on Netflix for every zombie fan.

All Of Us Are Dead (2022- )

In 2022, a new zombie show on Netflix sent the undead into a familiar location. South Korea’s All of Us Are Dead saw the zombie apocalypse kick off in high school. The surviving students have to deal with the fact their friends turned into the undead, and find a way to get out alive. However, this series added something different to the genre, as it seemed there might be more to the zombie outbreak than expected. This makes it hard for the All Of Us Are Dead characters to finish off their former friends. With the anxiety and insecurity of high school-aged kids, this is a lot more than just another zombie show.

For anyone who loves Z Nation, Black Summer is a zombie show on Netflix based within the same universe. Set six weeks after the beginning of the outbreak, a group of survivors must brave the dangerous new world and try to survive it together. With Jaime King in the starring role as a mother separated from her daughter during the early phase of the zombie apocalypse, it lasted for two seasons and 16 episodes on Netflix. Daybreak is a post-apocalyptic zombie show on Netflix that follows a group of teenage survivors as they try and make it out alive while being swarmed by hordes. Sadly, Netflix opted not to renew the show for a second season but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth watching. It has a lot of dark humor and snappy dialogue that should make for a breezy and entertaining watch. It centers on a 17-year-old who is desperate to find his girlfriend amid the apocalyptic breakout of Mad Max-style gangs of everything from zombie jocks to zombie cheerleaders.

There were also some familiar voices in the cast including Mark Hamill, Catherine O’Hara, and Bruce Campbell as the voices of some of the monsters.
