While talking to Us Weekly, Debbie said, “I have a total makeover here. I got new hairstyle. I have long hair, red hair. I also have a tattoo — brand new.” Debbie revealed she also got Botox for the first time at 70. She also explained that the reason for this transformation is her newfound single life. She said, “I decided to sort of start my life over and take it seriously, you might say, and see what’s out there and give it a shot.“

Debbie was also asked why she got red hair. She said, “I was born with red hair, but it kind of grew up to be more dark brown.” Debbie humorously added that “it was either this or rainbow.” She also revealed the meaning behind her brand new butterfly tattoo. Debbie, who is labeled as overbearing mother to Colt Johnson, said that her new ink represents freedom. Just like a butterfly, she is spreading her wings and coming out of a cocoon. But getting a tattoo on her chest wasn’t easy. Debbie said that it “hurt a lot but it was worth it.” Colt has also approved his mother’s extreme makeover. She said, “He’s proud of me for going back out there and giving it a shot.”
