A photograph of 90 Day Fiancé star Mahogany Roca without filters has fans puzzled about Ben Rathbun’s Peruvian girlfriend’s real age. She has been avoiding meeting Ben on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and this comes after there are multiple red flags about her, which suggest Mahogany is a catfish. She has never video-called Ben, all the photos he’s seen are heavily edited, and she’s also taken a $1,000 loan from him. But Ben also is not someone fans have warmed up to, especially with them declaring that 52-year-old Ben is going through a midlife crisis by dating a girl half his age.

Father of four Ben is a former pastor and recently divorced, looking to make Mahogany his next wife. Ben believes that meeting Mahogany was God’s plan and is religiously following it by trying to track her down, even when Mahogany asked him not to come. It was revealed that Ben was previously dating a woman 18 years younger than him a year after he got divorced and had also gotten engaged only for the relationship to fail. But Ben claims that when Mahogany, who’s allegedly not fluent in English, texted him, “Benjamin, you deserve to be loved and I want to be that person,” she hit a nerve like no one else ever has. In a meeting with his kids on 90 Day Fiancé, Ben asked them, “Do you think I would want to have this reputation, fall in love with someone that young?”

Fans have been calling Ben out for being so oblivious at his age and also for wanting to get married to a woman who is literally his kids’ age. But after coming across an unseen picture of Mahogany, some fans think that she is lying about her age. Reddit user blackmagicmike posted the photo of Mahogany with the caption, “Will the real Mahogany please not look like a young pre-teen girl that old crusty Ben is lusting over? We’re gonna have a problem here…” A top comment on the thread by LuckyWithTheCharms read, “She looks young and old at the same time.” Another Redditor Chellysunshine5 wrote, “She looks like a 30-year-old dressing like a teenager.”

But some fans also noted that Mahogany looks too young to be 24 as Ben has revealed on 90 Day Fiancé. They wondered if this was the reason why Mahogany’s dad doesn’t trust Ben’s intentions. Oddly enough, the Mahogany that fans have discovered on social media claims that she is a 22-year-old and not 24. Mahogany also addressed why she looks so different in her photos on Instagram and Facebook and the unfiltered ones like the one shared above. According to San Bartolo native Mahogany, the photos that fans are seeing without the retouching are her at “15 or 17,” so she doesn’t “look the same.”

Still, many 90 Day Fiancé viewers refuse to believe that the Mahogany who speaks with them occasionally is the one talking to him about having kids. It’s suspected that someone else has been trying to make a fool out of Ben or teach him a lesson by using Mahogany’s photos. Despite everyone putting on their detective hats to solve the mystery of Ben and Mahogany’s relationship, the truth might surface only when 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 ends.
