Quick Links

Players that meet Ratatoskr in God of War: Ragnarok will be tasked with finding and capturing six Lindwyrms to prevent them from devouring the nine realms one day. Players first need to reach Sindri’s house on the world tree to receive this quest and talk to the squirrel Ratatoskr by hitting the wind chime hanging from a nearby tree with the Leviathan Axe. Ratatoskr explains that when Nidhogg was killed, the creature’s offspring, the Lindwyrms, escaped and now gnaw on Realm Tears across the nine realms and that they need to be stopped before they cause irreversible damage.

To reach this point in the game, players must have completed the World of Fate main quest in Midgard in God of War: Ragnarok, after which they can go to Sindri’s house to receive the quest. After that, players will be able to find four of the creatures in Svartalfheim and two in North Vanaheim; however, they do not have to do so in any particular order, as each captured Lindwyrm will reward players with Hacksilver, Dust of Realms, and Lindyrm Scales that scales up based on how many have been caught. In addition, capturing all six Lindwyrms will reward players with Gale Flame, which can be used to upgrade the Draupnir Spear.

The Forge Lindwyrm

God of War Ragnarok The Forge Lindwyrm-1

The first Lindwyrm can be found in The Forge region in Svartalfheim but can only be accessed after players begin the Forging Destiny main quest, as shown in the video guide by YouTube Channel HarryNinetyFour. As they emerge from The Forge with the Draupnir Spear, they must climb the wall to the west, go through the tunnel and then proceed southwest to find a gap in the wall that they can squeeze through. When they exit on the other side, they will need to throw a Draupnir Spear on a Wind Vent on the wall to their left and another on a spot above the gap they just came in through. After that, use the first spear to shimmy on top of the wall and the other to shimmy across to a plateau where they’ll find the first Realm Tear in God of War: Ragnarok. Interact with it and complete the quick-time event to get the first Lindwyrm.

Alberich Hollow Lindwyrm

God of War Ragnarok Alberich Hollow Lindwyrm-1

The second Lindwyrm is found in Alberich Hollow and will also require players to have acquired the Draupnir Spear during the Forging Destiny main quest. In Dragon Beach, find and climb the gold chain on the wooden structure to the north and use the Draupnir Spear to shimmy on top of the next platform. Proceed across the top of the wooden structure across a couple of gaps and then turn left towards a large cave entrance. After using the pots to blast two rock formations, players should find a small ledge on the left and climb it to find the Realm Tear containing the second Lindwyrm.

Alberich Island Lindwyrm

Players can find the third Lindwyrm by returning to Alberich Island’s main beach and using one of God of War: Ragnarok‘s new weapons, the Draupnir Spear, on the Wind Vent to the north to climb on top of the wall. By turning the corner and proceeding up the stairs, players will find a rock formation to the east that they will need to blast through with a Sonic Arrow. Players must then follow the now-open path until they arrive at a ledge near the back of the elevator, where they will be able to spot some strange rocks on the water to the west. Using the Draupnir Spear to destroy the rocks will make the elevator rise, allowing players to swing to the platform on the water to the south, where another Realm Tear is located.

The Applecore Lindwyrm

God of War Ragnarok The Applecore Lindwyrm-1

Players can find the fourth Lindwyrm deep inside The Applecore in God of War Ragnarok, but to reach it, they will once again need the Draupnir Spear, so they cannot find it until they reach the Forging Destiny main quest. After taking the elevator down into The Applecore mines, players should hug the left wall and follow it down until they reach a Wind Vent near a high wall. Here, they must use the Draupnir Spear on the vent to shimmy to the top of the wall and then use it to blast the rock formation to the north. Next, follow the left path and swing to a small tunnel to the northeast by using Kratos’ Blades of Chaos. Proceed down the tunnel until it leads to a large room, and then go under the crawlspace to the northwest.

After emerging on the other side, go through the wooden doors, then hug the right wall to use the ledge to reach the other side. Players should then run northwest, swing through the falling water, and follow the platform on the right until they can jump down onto the wooden bridge to the north. After that, jump over the gap, duck through the crawlspace, and swing across the blue-tinted gap on the left. Climbing the wall on the right and running north to go through the wooden door leads into a large room with a pillar with a Wind Vent in the middle to the northwest. Use the Draupnir Spear on the vent to enable God of War Rangarok‘s protagonist, Kratos, to shimmy through to the other side. Lastly, look to the west to find the Realm Tear and finally catch the fourth Lindwyrm.

The Plains Lindwyrm Near The Crater

God of War Ragnarok The Plains Lindwyrm Near The Crater-1

To reach The Plains, players should complete the Scent of Survival quest, after which they can find this Lindwyrm in the arena where they fight The Crimson Dread, which appears on the map as the area to the southwest of The Crater. In that arena, players should spot the Realm Tear pretty easily by looking in the northwest corner.

The Plains Lindwyrm Near The Celestial Altar

Approaching this region from the west, players should go through the double circular archways and then turn left to climb on top of the ledge. Next, proceed to the north and follow the path up to eventually reach the Celestial Altar in the most elevated spot in the region. From there, go north and jump down two ledges to find another Realm Tear and finally be able to upgrade one of the best new weapons in God of War Ragnarok.
