Amazing Race: Are Caro & Ray Still Together After The Show?

Love Island USA alums Caro and Ray found love on The Amazing Race, before it was shut down in 2020. Their dynamic has changed since the series.

Caro Viehweg and Ray Gantt were one of 11 teams competing on The Amazing Race season 33, and it’s time to talk about whether they are still dating. After meeting and falling in love on Love Island USA, the pair were ready to test their relationship in a race around the world. Because of The Amazing Race’s unusual filming schedule due to the pandemic, three years have gone by since Ray and Caro first competed. There is plenty to learn about their current relationship status.

Caro and Ray weren’t new to reality TV competitions, as they were on Love Island season 1 during the summer of 2019, before competing on The Amazing Race. Caro entered the villa on Day 1, and went through two different partners before Ray entered on Day 15. The pair quickly became an endearing duo on the show, but ultimately finished in third place, losing to The Amazing Race season 33‘s Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli. After the show ended, Ray and Caro continued their relationship, but had to have a long-distance romance, since he was on the East Coast, and she was in Los Angeles.

The Amazing Race’s Ray & Caro Broke Up

When The Amazing Race season 33 started filming in early 2020, Ray and Caro were still in a relationship. However, On Caro‘s YouTube channel in July 2020, she finally shared new facts about her relationship status with Ray, after getting hundreds of DMs and comments about it. Caro said that the pair were officially broken up, and also posted on her IG that they were no longer together. Caro added that she broke up with Ray because she felt that he was not as committed to the relationship as she was. It was sad to hear that they had split, and no longer had contact with one another.

The Amazing Race’s Caro & Ray Did Not Return To The Show

Following the break-up, it was also revealed that Caro and Ray would not continue competing in the rest of The Amazing Race. The production break was much longer than the contestants thought it would be, and the couple made the decision not to return. Fellow contestants Connie and Sam Greiner were also absent from the rest of the show, as Connie was pregnant during the time of filming. Despite not returning to The Amazing Race, Caro continued to travel, posting vlogs of her journeys throughout Europe.

Despite the break-up, Caro and Ray are both thriving in their personal lives, and actively update others through social media. Caro has continued traveling, and recently celebrated her 25th birthday. Likewise, Ray has documented some of his own 2023 travels and resolutions via his socials. He is hoping to work towards personal and business goals. Though the couple is no longer together, and did not finish racing on The Amazing Race season 33, they gave the relationship a try. They were able to journey around the world together for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Caro and Ray could even return someday as friends, and finish a season of The Amazing Race.
