Best Weapon Substitutes For Xiao In Genshin Impact

[ad_1]

A few polearms in Genshin Impact can be used as Xiao’s substitute weapons in case players do not possess the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear.

Genshin Impact’s Xiao has a few substitute weapons he can make use of if players do not own the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear. The 5-star polearm is his signature weapon and its offered sub-stats match up with the last remaining Yaksha’s stats. With it, Xiao significantly improves his Crit Rate, which allows players to focus on farming artifacts for his Crit Damage and have less of a hard time trying to properly balance them.

Xiao relies heavily on his Damage output and a great portion of it comes from Crit Damage. Any player trying to reach Xiao’s best builds in Genshin Impact must equip him with a polearm that has Crit Rate / Damage or ATK as priority sub-stats. This can either be the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, which is tailor-made for him, or a substitute weapon that attends such requirements.

Considering his Crit Rate / Damage priority, Xiao’s best immediate substitute weapon in Genshin Impact is the Staff of Homa. In spite of being Hu Tao’s signature polearm, it actually scales quite well with Liyue’s demon hunter’s stats. With a high Crit Damage sub-stat already attributed to the weapon, players should focus on farming Xiao’s artifacts in Genshin Impact with Crit Rate.

The Staff of Homa’s skill, Reckless Cinnabar, increases HP and also grants an ATK bonus based on the user’s Max HP. When its wielder’s HP is less than 50%, the ATK bonus is boosted even further. This goes along quite well with his Elemental Burst, which drains his life considerably and can be used in his favor, making it a great substitute weapon for Xiao. Genshin Impact’s Skyward Spine is also a good substitute weapon for him since it increases the user’s Crit Rate and Normal ATK Speed. The Energy Recharge sub-stat mainly goes to waste with Xiao, but otherwise, it works well.

Of course, if obtaining a 5-star character in Genshin Impact is already difficult, acquiring a weapon might be even harder for players who prefer heroes over their tools. Luckily, a couple of 4-star polearms are very useful as substitute weapons for Xiao. The Battle Pass-locked Deathmatch has Crit Rate as its sub-stat and also improves the wielder’s ATK depending on how many enemies are nearby. While it is better against an individual target, which grants a 24% ATK bonus as opposed to a 16% bonus when facing at least two enemies, the Deathmatch is a great weapon for Xiao.

Despite this, it is locked behind a premium pass. Free-to-play (F2P) Genshin Impact players should consider using the craftable Blackcliff Pole as Xiao’s substitute weapon in Genshin Impact. With a reasonably high Crit DMG sub-stat, the polearm is best used against a group of enemies because it increases ATK by 12% for 30 seconds after an opponent is defeated, for a total of three stacks. Regardless of the player’s choice of weapon, they are likely to be useful since Xiao is naturally one of Genshin Impact’s strongest DPS characters.
