Dead Space Remake: How To Solve The Comms Array Puzzle
Repairing the Comms Array in Dead Space Remake demands players use their Kinesis module to align puzzle-like nodes to create the correct energy flow.
Dead Space Remake once more tells the story of the engineer Issac in their desperate struggle against ferocious Necromrophs on the USG Ishimura, leading players into a section of the story where a puzzle must be solved to repair the Comms Array section of the vessel. Most of this communication system has been destroyed, as its hexagonal structure comprised of several nodes are too damaged to send power in a proper direction to provide power. Through this zero gravity segment of the narrative, players will have to rearrange these nodes in the right pattern to establish a pathway for energy to revitalize the Comms Array.
The main objective of this task may be seen on a central monitor in Chapter 8 of the story, as players must direct energy flow from the power source to the central power node at the top of the room. Players will have to use their Kinesis module in Dead Space Remake to pull out destroyed nodes and replace them with functional ones to guarantee that the energy moves in a desired fashion. While it can be tricky for players to find their bearings in this spherical room due to the zero gravity, the monitor at the front shows which nodes are operational through white dots that easily show where energy connects through lines of the same color.
Dead Space Remake: Comms Array Puzzle Solution
Unfortunately, the locator within the Communication Control Room will simply point toward the power source instead of individual nodes. A single blue line created by these nodes must connect the power source to the central power node at the very top of the room. Dead Space Remake‘s visual upgrades make it far easier for players to identify this line than in the original, where it could be hard to determine. The simplest way to begin this puzzle is to first remove every damaged node from the Comms Array, as doing so removes all the clutter from the area and prevents players from becoming confused should they accidentally place a broken node in the right path.
“L” shaped nodes, or nodes that make energy flow to the left, are the only ones needed for this task. The first of these fits right under the hexagon pattern to the bottom-right of the power source, assuming players are looking at the room from the door they used to enter. Then, players should place another node directly to the left, then one above, followed by a fourth to the right, and finally one more above the previous. This faithful recreation in Dead Space Remake of the Comms Array puzzle takes players into the next section of the story, with more danger to surely follow.
