Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Make Arendellian Pickled Herring
Disney Dreamlight Valley has a wide range of recipes, some of which are themed after the characters available in the game. One of these themed recipes is Arendellian Pickled Herring, a 5-star appetizer from Elsa and Anna’s homeland of Arendelle. Players need five ingredients for the recipe to make this unique dish, four of which may take some time to collect.
The five ingredients to Arendellian Pickled Herring include a herring, a lemon, an onion, garlic, and one herb of any kind. The herb can be taken care of quickly, as oregano grows throughout the game’s main area. For the four specific ingredients, the most cost-effective locations for ingredient gathering are Dazzle Beach to the south, unlocked with 1,000 Dreamlight, and the Forest of Valor to the east, available at 3,000 Dreamlight.
Arendellian Pickled Herring’s Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The first stop in the journey to make Arendellian Pickled Herring is Dazzle Beach, where players can use their fishing rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley to catch some herring. Herring can be found in common white-rippling fishing spots. Players only need one herring to make a jar of Arendellian Pickled Herring, but it may take a while to catch the right fish. Once that’s done. However, players can journey to the Forest of Valor, where the other three ingredients can be found.
First off, lemon trees are scattered across the realm. Shaking a lemon tree gives three lemons, more than enough for the recipe. If players don’t want to waste time hunting for a tree, they can check Goofy’s Stall in the Glade of Trust, unlocked at 5,000 Dreamlight. Lemons from Goofy cost 67 Star Coins. Goofy’s Stall is also an important source of onions in the Forest of Valor at 255 Star Coins. If he’s out of stock, players must grow their own crops in Disney Dreamlight Valley, purchasing seeds at 50 Star Coins. Lastly, garlic grows wild across the Forest of Valor, so players can walk around until they stumble upon it.
With all the ingredients collected, players must use a stove and feed it a piece of coal found in rocks and grass mounds. All it takes is adding the five ingredients to the pot, and the Arendellian Pickled Herring will spring to life. This dish is used in two of Elsa’s friendship quests. The first, “What Homes Feels Like,” involves cooking Arendellian Pickled Herring and a Fish Pie and delivering them to Elsa. The second quest, “The Ice Cavern Mystery,” uses Arendellian Pickled Herring as one of the four items placed upon the pedestals. Outside these quests, however, the Arendellian Pickled Herring is a complex, high-selling appetizer that any Disney Dreamlight Valley player would feel proud to make.
