Warning: Spoilers for Manifest season 4, part 1

Manifest season 4, part 2 will serve as the long-awaited conclusion to the five-and-a-half-year journey of the Flight 828 passengers. After three seasons on NBC, Manifest has been given an opportunity to finish its story with one last season. While it’ll fall two seasons short of showrunner Jeff Rake’s original six-year plan, it’ll still provide a proper ending to the series NBC canceled. Here’s the latest Manifest season 4 part 2 news.

In ten episodes, Manifest season 4’s first half dropped a handful of bombshells on both the viewers and the characters. Surprisingly, the series has already explained what the Callings are, where they come from, and what the passengers are actually supposed to do with them. They even have an idea of what’s going to happen when the Death Date arrives on June 2, 2024. But while Manifest season 4, part 1 was packed with answers, the actual solutions to their problems still feel a long way off and are sure to be stories for the second half. Here’s what to expect and the latest Manifest season 4, part 2 news.

While there isn’t a ton of Manifest season 4 part 2 news, show creator Jeff Rake had an interview with EW revealing more of what the next installment will focus on. According to Rake, Manifest season 4 part 2 will zero in on the community of Flight 828 passengers as they lead up to the June 2nd Death Date. Characters Ben, Michaela, Cal, and Olive will be at the center of this storyline, as Ben and Michaela have, in particular, been the proverbial co-captains of the remaining passengers. ” […] this final block will allow us to showcase them in that role more than ever, because they’ll be interacting with that community of passengers every day, every episode,” Rake said.

The latest Manifest season 4 part 2 news states that the second half of the fourth installment will be the final season. As a 20-episode season, part 2 will see 10 more episodes, with only two of their titles being revealed so far: episode 414 “Fata Morgana” and episode 418 “Lift/Drag.”

Manifest Season 4, Part 2 Release Date Prediction

Manifest Season 4 Still 2

Manifest season 4, part 2 news hasn’t shown a release date other than spring of 2023, but what’s known about the status of the production is a good sign that it’ll happen sooner rather than later. Filming for the last ten episodes has already ended, which means that it should hit Netflix even before a full year has passed. It’s been theorized for a while that since Netflix has planned announcements and releases around Manifest’s in-universe dates, that approach could also be applied to Manifest season 4, part 2.

The first half of the season arrived on November 4th (the date the plane returned in 2018), which is why some suspect Netflix will release the second batch of episodes as early as April 7 (the day Flight 828 disappeared in 2013) or as late as June 2nd (the Death Date). But for now, it remains to be seen if Manifest’s ending will be ready to release so early.

Manifest season 4 part 2 news has revealed that the entire cast from part 1 will carry over to the second installment. This means that characters Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), Ben (Josh Dallas), and Olive (Luna Blaise) will be returning, alongside Jared (J.R. Ramirez), Saanvi (Parveen Kaur), Angelina (Holly Taylor), and Robert (Daryl Edwards). Based on the events of Manifest season 4 part 1, it’s unclear if audiences will encounter Zeke (Matt Long) again, as he used his powers to sacrifice himself.

Several recurring Manifest characters will return for part 2. It’s been confirmed that Ellen Tamaki (Charmed) will be back as Drea and Jared Grimes (Fringe) as Adrian. Garrett Wareing (Independence Day: Resurgence) will reprise the role of TJ, and Ali Lopez-Sohaili (Law & Order: SVU) will feature again as Eagan. Finally, Brianna and Gianna Riccio will be back as Eden Stone, while Mahira Kakkar (Hank and Asha) is back as Aria.

Manifest Season 4, Part 2 Story: What Part 1 Sets Up

Manifest season 4, part 1 laid out a clear framework for the second half’s story. First and foremost, they have to stop the Death Date. That challenge has always been their biggest goal, but it’s also been somewhat of a long-term problem. But with Manifest coming to an end, it’ll have to become their top priority right away. Making matters worse is the fact that the Death Date doesn’t just apply to the passengers anymore.

A volcanic apocalypse is supposedly coming for the entire world, and Cal is expected to be the key to preventing it. On top of that, the Flight 828 passengers still have Angelina to deal with. Having seemingly absorbed a shard of the Omega Sapphire, Holly Taylor’s character is on track to continue her role as season 4’s main villain.

Why Manifest Season 4 Is Releasing In 2 Parts

When it was announced in the Manifest season 4 part 2 news that Netflix was picking up Manifest for a one-season ending, it felt fitting that the revival came in the form of a 20-episode order. Considering that Manifest was initially intended to end with six seasons, it’s not surprising that an extended final season was deemed the best way to finish the story. Due to the sheer length of Manifest season 4, it makes sense that Netflix has chosen to divide it up into two parts, thus allowing each ten-episode arc to stand on its own, almost as separate seasons.
