Flash Already Proved His Top Speed Can EASILY Kill Superman

[ad_1]

Superman is one of the strongest heroes in the DC Universe, with very few weaknesses. But The Flash has what it takes to take the Man of Steel down.

While Superman is one of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe, enhanced to godlike levels by the Sun’s radiation, The Flash‘s physics-defying powers are capable of killing him not by playing on his famous vulnerability to magic or his weakness to Kryptonite, but simply by hitting him so hard, even his invulnerability isn’t enough to save him.

There are many reasons why Superman is one of the strongest fighters in the DC Universe – he has unbelievable strength, superspeed, flight, and heat vision. And even if someone does manage to get past all of that to land a hit, Superman boasts nigh-invulnerability, meaning just about any attack will bounce off like it’s nothing. However, it turns out that if Flash wanted to, he could strike Clark Kent down like he didn’t have powers at all.

In Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine’s DCeased #5, a horrifying zombie virus has been accidentally unleashed by Darkseid. The entire Earth and the majority of the heroes and villains have been turned into bloodthirsty zombies. Superman manages to be one of the few beacons of hope due to the fact he can’t be infected with his invulnerable skin, but it turns out this doesn’t protect him from everything. When a zombified Flash takes off across the world infecting civilians, Superman regretfully flies in the opposite direction, slamming into the Scarlet Speedster to destroy him. Sadly, while Flash himself is obliterated, a few of his fingers penetrate Superman’s skin in the clash, infecting the Man of Steel. However, the moment proves Flash doesn’t need a zombie virus to kill Superman.

Flash Is Fast Enough to Beat Superman’s Invulnerability

Flash’s skin and bones have the same consistency as when he was alive at this moment, so the fact his fingers are able to penetrate Superman’s skin shows that at his max speed, Flash has enough momentum to essentially strike harder than Clark’s skin can resist. And if skin and bone are enough to break the Man of Steel’s skin at this speed, then an actual cutting implement like a knife or sword would be staggeringly effective. Indeed, this moment shows that Superman is actually more vulnerable to Flash at full speed than two regular humans are to each other without it.

With even a basic cutting implement, DCeased proves that a full-speed Flash exerts enough raw force to overcome even Superman’s fabled invulnerability – maybe in all the universes where the Man of Steel turns evil, it should be the Scarlet Speedster who takes on the mission of stopping him, rather than Batman.
