Fortnite Creative Player Rebuilds Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City

[ad_1]

Cyberpunk 2077’s alluring and instantly recognizable Night City has been built from the ground up by a talented gamer in Fortnite’s Creative mode.

A talented Fortnite creator has reconstructed the iconic Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 within the massive multiplayer game. The build is painstakingly detailed and rivals robust and complex custom cities like the recent Tatooine replica in Minecraft.

While it is best known for its incredibly popular Battle Royale mode, Fornite also features a Creative version that went free-to-play back in 2018. This alternative game mode offers a dizzying amount of customization options, including unique materials, vehicles, and decorative accents, allowing players to piece together detailed environments. The function is very similar to Minecraft‘s creative mode in that players can utilize the full spectrum of building materials without having to collect or craft them first, while also not being hindered by logical movement restrictions. Unlike Minecraft, however, Fortnite’s building assets are of far greater fidelity, which allows for more naturalistic, true-to-life builds. Other gaming organizations have gotten involved with the DIY platform as well, with Square Enix releasing a replica of Tomb Raider‘s Croft Manor earlier this year as part of a special anniversary celebration.

Cyberpunk 2077 fans are sure to get a kick out of this latest Fortnite Creative build from Redditor oEnZo_-_. The recreation of Night City is jam-packed with faithful details and direct references to the open-world RPG, including a replica of the menacing Arasoka tower. The game’s dystopian and cynical advertisements have been carried over as well, further lending this creation a sense of accuracy. The futuristic city was rebuilt on PS5, so the images come alive with next-gen visual features such as ray tracing.

Comments on the post are overwhelmingly positive, with many onlookers surprised that oEnZo_-_’s screenshots are both from Fortnite and not actual stills of the original Night City. The high resolution and advanced visual effects are also worth noting, as this is probably the closest that console players will get to experiencing next-gen Night City ahead of Cyberpunk 2077‘s PS5 release next year. The attention to detail in this build is definitely impressive, and plenty of gamers will no doubt be itching to experience oEnZo_-_’s take on the neon-drenched city themselves.

To say that Cyberpunk 2077 is a controversial video game would be an understatement, but it did have one thing that was consistently praised: Night City itself. The charm and atmosphere of the oppressive, breathtaking, and at times disgusting megalopolis struck a chord with many players, so it’s unsurprising to see homages to it in other titles. It will be interesting to see if and how other Fortnite players tackle custom Cyberpunk 2077 creations in the future.
