Genshin Impact’s Alice: Everything We Know So Far

[ad_1]

Alice is Genshin Impact’s most mysterious figure, but despite never having revealed herself in person, there are many things players know about her.

Genshin Impact’s Alice is one of the most mysterious characters in the game, maybe even more so than the Traveler’s long-lost sibling. Despite never actually showing herself in-game, she has interacted with the Traveler and their companions many times, through various methods. Players have read many of the books she has written and notably listened to a recording she left for her daughter Klee and her friends on the Golden Apple Archipelago in a limited-time event in Version 1.6.

Despite not ever appearing in-game, there is a fair amount of things players have already learned about Alice since the game’s launch, beyond the fact that she is the mother to Klee in Genshin Impact. They know her profession, for instance, along with her interests and much of her personality. All of this has been revealed through book anecdotes and citations from characters that have actually met her, such as Albedo.

Alice Is Allegedly 500 Years Old In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact‘s Alice is said to be of a different species and, as such, has a longer lifespan than other human characters. In fact, it is suspected that Klee’s mother is at least 500 years old, according to Genshin Impact Fandom. Her main occupation is as a polymath adventurer, and it is said that she has already explored the entirety of Teyvat. A curious fact mentioned in the Teyvat Travel Guide – Liyue in-game book is that she even adventured through the region along with Zhongli in Genshin Impact. This certainly makes it seem as if Alice’s age is in the hundreds.

Genshin Impact’s Alice May Be A Descender

Players also suspect that Genshin Impact’s Alice is a Descender, due to a multitude of reasons. The first of them is the fact that she does seem to know a lot about real-life Earth. She has mentioned the Rubicon, turned Barbara into the idol she is by simply introducing her to idol culture through a magazine, and is the narrator for the Wings of Feasting glider’s description. The glider is a product of a collaboration between developer HoYoverse and the fast-food chain KFC. Additionally, she is the one who narrates Aloy’s Collected Miscellany video instead of Dainsleif.

This only serves to indicate that she is aware of other worlds. However, the piece that most contributes to the theory that Alice is a Descender in Genshin Impact is her knowledge of Wanderer’s true identity after he wipes Scaramouche from Irminsul. By narrating his Collected Miscellany video and making short comments on the fact that she could pretend that she forgot his identity, she indicates she was unaffected by Irminsul – and the only ones unaffected by the tree are Descenders, also known as people who are not originally from Teyvat, such as the Traveler and their sibling.

Although players have not met Alice in Genshin Impact, they do know a fair lot about her. There are still a few theories to be proven, such as her status as a Descender, but it is likely that she will play an important part in the Traveler’s understanding of what a Descender actually is and how they can take advantage of that in Teyvat. There is no indication of when Alice will actually make her in-person debut, so players waiting for her to show up in Genshin Impact’s Fontaine region or anytime soon should measure their hopes.
