The Green Arrow Family Is About to Be Reunited

Green Arrow 1 Full Main Cover with Large Cast Including Green Arrow, Black Canary, Roy Harper, Connor Hawke, and More

This new costume is just the latest Green Arrow announcement from DC. The publisher is relaunching the character and his large supporting cast in a new Green Arrow miniseries this April. Following the events of Dark Crisis, Oliver Queen has gone missing, and Black Canary and Roy Harper are determined to find him. The main cover for Green Arrow #1, seen above, promises a number of guest appearances from some long forgotten but still-beloved “Arrow Family” characters, like Lian Harper and Mia Dearden, as well as new characters like Red Canary.

Despite the return to some of these classic Green Arrow characters and relationships, this new and majorly upgraded costume for Oliver suggests the book won’t be completely stuck in the character’s past. For obvious reasons—namely Green Arrow’s ancient weapon of choice—there isn’t always a lot of room for updating an archer’s look and arsenal. This new costume is a much-needed gesture towards the character’s future.

Readers can look forward to learning not only where Oliver Queen has been since the conclusion of Dark Crisis, but also just how he got his hands on technology that would make even Iron Man jealous. Between this new look and the promise of an Arrow Family reunion, this Green Arrow miniseries is off to a great start before its first issue has even hit shelves.
