Hailee Steinfeld Shares Adorable Kate & Yelena Hawkeye Blooper Scene

[ad_1]

Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld shares a funny blooper of a scene between her and Florence Pugh to with the Yelena actor a belated happy birthday.

Hailee Steinfeld shares an adorable Hawkeye blooper of herself and Yelena Belova actor Florence Pugh. Steinfeld was introduced as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Kate Bishop in the Disney+ series, which centered on her begrudging mentorship from Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton. Hawkeye aired over the holiday season and represented the year’s last bit of Marvel Studios content, airing its finale on December 22.

While the show had many surprises in store for fans that generated chatter, the inclusion of Pugh’s Yelena after her debut in Black Widow was one of the most anticipated elements going into the six-episode miniseries. Much of that was focused on the promised conflict between her and Clint, but the complex interactions between her and Kate quickly became fan-favorite moments. On top of the fact that the scenes featured two of Hollywood’s most exciting young stars, the characters represent the future of both the Hawkeye and Black Widow characters, and the show ended with audiences eager to see their next collaboration.

For now, though, everyone will have to settle for behind-the-scenes footage of their work together, and Steinfeld provides the latest glimpse at the fun they had working on Hawkeye. Wishing Pugh a belated birthday after she turned 26 on Monday, Steinfeld shares a brief clip of the finale’s elevator scene on her Instagram story in which, just before Kate is about to shoot her way past the closing door, Pugh bursts out laughing. The two then embrace as they try to get it together, clearly enjoying their time on set together. Check out a screenshot of the story below:

Though both are clearly flagged for future Marvel movies and shows, the studio has yet to clarify when Steinfeld and Pugh will show up next. After confronting Clint about Natasha’s death in the Hawkeye finale, Yelena chooses to accept his explanation of her sacrifice and spares him, suggesting she has some significant emotional processing to do. Defying the kill order could also potentially put her at odds with Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Val, who is being positioned as a significant antagonist working from the shadows.

Kate, meanwhile, has fully won over her childhood hero by the conclusion of the series, scoring an invite to share in the Barton family Christmas. With Clint surviving the series but clearly inclined to retire from his superhero duties, it’s reasonable to expect that the two characters will be a package deal in whatever project includes them next, with Renner’s founding Avenger perhaps acting as the guiding voice in her ear. And with this clip emphasizing Steinfeld and Pugh’s chemistry is as good off-screen as on it, it seems they will be relishing their Hawkeye follow-up as much as the Marvel audience.
