For example, fans on Reddit have noticed that the classes that Harry and his friends attend in the books and movies seem somewhat limited. Even in the magical world of Harry Potter, school kids need to be prepared for adulthood, and Redditors have thought of a few classes that might benefit the students of Hogwarts.

Enchantments

Spells come in several categories, and Hogwarts students will take Charms and Transfiguration classes to learn about most of them. However, Redditor Important-Stomach474 finds that these classes, especially Charms, are “too much of a catch-all” for the various types of spells.

They suggested an Enchantments class that might cover the kind of magic used to change an item’s function. For example, Dumbledore enchants the Mirror of Erised to hide the Philosopher’s Stone. Harry never learned magic anything like that in school, and while it could be a dangerous class for Harry Potter students, that wouldn’t be out of the norm.

Of course, Hermione was always there to explain to Harry and Ron how wizarding law works, but that is due only to her great love for books.
