Hazbin Hotel Clips Tease Animated A24 Show (With A Twist)

[ad_1]

Vivienne Medrano, creator of the upcoming A24 adult animated series Hazbin Hotel, has released some new (silent) first-look clips at the series.

New clips from A24’s Hazbin Hotel show off the most devious partners in Hell. Created by animator Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano, Hazbin Hotel first began as a 31-minute pilot posted to YouTube in October 2019. The adult comedy/musical series follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she opens a hotel to rehabilitate sinners and quell Hell’s overpopulation crisis. The pilot became a massive success online, and in August 2020, Hazbin Hotel was picked up by A24 to be adapted into a long-form television series. Though there is no firm release date, Hazbin Hotel is expected to be released this summer.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a post from Medrano‘s Instagram page, the Hazbin Hotel creator released new clips from the upcoming A24 series.

The four clips, all soundless and brief, each give viewers a glimpse at some of Hazbin Hotel‘s most notable partnerships. The first clip shows two of Hell’s most powerful overlords, Vox and Valentino, while the second sees Extermination Day villains Adam and Lute flying. The third is a clip of princess of Hell Charlie and her girlfriend Vaggie, and the fourth is a new look at stripper Angel Dust performing in a leather outfit.

Everything To Know About Hazbin Hotel

Though there hasn’t been a full trailer or even a firm release date revealed for Hazbin Hotel, there have been plenty of teasers for the show. Throughout 2022, Hazbin Hotel unveiled character redesigns, showing how the series’ main characters were changed from the pilot to the A24 series. In December, Medrano also revealed the first soundless clips from the A24 show, giving a better glimpse at Hazbin Hotel‘s animation style. While those clips were the first teasers, the above snippets are the first motion videos of Valentino, Adam, and Lute.

With Hazbin Hotel having gained a sizable following after the release of the YouTube pilot, Medrano responded to the sudden surge in popularity by creating Hazbin Hotel comics, a full-length animated music video, and a spinoff webseries entitled Helluva Boss. Despite A24’s Hazbin Hotel still months away from release, Medrano has created an entire Hellish universe that has gained a fandom of its own. With viewers from around the world, the official YouTube pilot has already been given French and Japanese language adaptations.

While there is a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaiting Hazbin Hotel, the pilot has also had its controversies, largely surrounding the show’s crude and adult humor. While the redesigns have changed the pilot characters fairly minimally, there are still questions surrounding the show’s content, and whether or not being picked up by a major production company will affect Hazbin Hotel‘s risqué tone. And, with even these newest clips still not containing any sound, that question will likely remain until a full trailer for A24’s Hazbin Hotel is unveiled.
