Hello Neighbor 2: How to Solve The Chemistry Lab Puzzle

[ad_1]

The Back to School DLC in Hello Neighbor 2 has new puzzles for players to solve, including opening the mouth of a Venus flytrap in the Chemistry Lab.

The Back to School DLC of Hello Neighbor 2 features many new puzzles that hide key items for players to collect, including the green spray bottle located through the key to the backyard shed found in the Chemistry Lab. Players will need to collect several items to interact with the organic creature that hosts the primary puzzle of this area while also avoiding the usual dangers prevalent throughout the game. Thankfully, many of the tasks required to solve this puzzle do not demand a background in the chemistry field, instead relying on the player’s ability to navigate the school location without running into trouble.

The puzzle in the Chemistry Lab, which may be found on the school’s second floor, concludes when players open the mouth of the Venus flytrap. This may only be done by activating the heated lamp facing the creature using an item called the potato battery. Players will also have to change the color of the light facing the flytrap, using the red and blue spray cans to change the light to purple. Although the chalkboard in the Chemistry Lab hints at this solution, this task will make players engage with the stealth gameplay of Hello Neighbor 2 as they visit the other regions of the school that hosts the needed items.

The potato battery is the most important item in solving the Chemistry Lab Puzzle, as it powers the lab used to open the Venus flytrap. However, the battery itself remains locked within the Freezer, a walk-in that can be found in the Cafeteria. To open the frozen lock on the Freezer, players need to burn at least five waste bags that are scattered throughout the school in the shed’s Combuster. Increasing the temperature of the Cafeteria eventually does defrost the lock, but players cannot access this area without collecting every bag first from this family-friendly horror title.

Waste Bag Location

Collection Method

The Theater

Climb to the rooftop and look for an orange bag with a white exclamation point.

School Backyard

Go downstairs from the square underground hole to collect the bag.

Art Classroom

The room’s desk hosts the waste bag.

Astrology Classroom

On the second floor, this room has the waste bag on the upper sections, incentivizing players to climb the cupboards to reach it.

Backyard Shed

The final waste bag can be found downstairs, right next to the Combuster.

Players may easily find the red spray can in the Art Classroom while searching for waste bags, but the blue spray can sit behind a combination lock in the Chemistry Lab. Raising the temperature through the school defrosts a handle from a particular classroom’s Moving Chalkboard, which displays the code once moved. Should players get lost, they can use Hello Neighbor 2‘s secret phone to keep track of their location as they traverse the school grounds looking for this room. The password is 5223, giving players everything they need to complete the Chemistry Lab Puzzle by spraying the now activated heat lamb with both colors in Hello Neighbor 2.
