Hogwarts Legacy: All Astronomy Table Locations (& How To Solve Them)
There are fifteen total Astronomy Tables scattered throughout Hogwarts Legacy. Players get this quest around the midpoint part of the game, depending on how much time they have spent wandering Hogwarts. Each Astronomy Table is used to look at one of the constellations from the Wizarding World.
Of the many collectibles in Hogwarts Legacy, the Astronomy Tables have one of the fewest individual items to find. However, a few things make them a little tricky to complete. For one, ensure it is nighttime when the player approaches the Astronomy Table, as they don’t work in the daytime. The first Astronomy Table is also found in a quest. While most of the Astronomy Tables are located in the Highlands, there is one hidden at Hogwarts that is harder to find. Generally, the best way to solve an Astronomy Table is to zoom out far enough to see everything, rotate the constellation until it matches the brighter stars, and then zoom in until the puzzle clicks.
How To Start The Astronomy Table Quest
A main quest becomes available after Percival Rackham’s Trial and after The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom, which allows players to upgrade gear in Hogwarts Legacy. Follow the Attend Astronomy Quest and attend the Astronomy class. During class, the Professor will ask Amit to share his telescope with the player. Once the class is over, he will offer the player his spare telescope on the condition that the player will help him with something. Go to the level below to find his old telescope and return to the spiral staircase.
Meet Amit on the lower platform, and he will reveal that he has also been studying the Astronomy Tables. Go with him, and he will lead you through the Bell Tower Courtyard and toward the Castle Wall. Get onto the wall and go through the door leading into the tower. Blow up some boxes in front of the next door to continue into the next tower. There will be some cobwebs to get rid which can be done using either Incendio or Confringo.
Once through the next door, the Astronomy Table will be up ahead. For this table, the player must zoom in quite a bit to fully align the puzzle and make it click. It is the Lyra Constellation, and once finished, Amit will tell the player there are more tables scattered throughout the Highlands, and players can solve the remaining 13 puzzles.
North Ford Bog
This one is just outside San Bakar’s Tower. It might be easiest to fly to it, but it can be accessed on foot by jumping over the rope fence next to the bridge and walking up the hill. This puzzle’s answer is the Centaur constellation.
Forbidden Forest
This one is atop a hill, close to a Hippogriff Den in Hogwarts Legacy. The solution is the Draco constellation.
South Hogwarts
This one is on top of another hill, just up from the main path that leads from Hogwarts Castle to Hogsmeade. The solution for this table is the Scorpius constellation.
Hogwarts Valley – Brocburrow
This one is just outside the Hamlet of Brocburrow, up the hill and next to a pile of crates and barrels. The solution for this table is the Corvus constellation.
Hogwarts Valley – Keenbridge
This one is near the Hamlet of Keenbridge. There is a ruined castle across the river, which also features an Ancient Magic Hotspot. It is possible to climb through the inside of the castle to the roof, using Wingardium Leviosa to move the crates. As usual, the player can fly to the top. The solution for this table is the Capricornus constellation.
South Feldcroft
This one is just North of the South Feldcroft Floo Flame. It is on top of a hill, overlooking a Hogwarts Legacy landing platform and the sea. The solution for this table is the Horologium constellation.
North Feldcroft
This one is in North Feldcroft, on a hill next to a Small Bandit camp and overlooking yet another Small Bandit camp. The solution for this table is the Lacerta constellation.
Poidsear Coast
This one is near South Poidsear Coast. The solution for this table is the Hydra constellation.
Marunweem Lake
This one is right up the hill from a Thestral Den. It is the Canis Major constellation.
Manor Cape
There are some very powerful enemies here, so be careful. There is also a Merlin Trial nearby. The Astronomy Table is on the roof. This is the Sagittarius constellation.
Clagmar Coast
This is on top of the cliffs overlooking the coast. This is the Lupus constellation.
Cragcroftshire
This is also on top of some cliffs overlooking the sea. For this one, there is a bonfire near it, making it easy to spot from a broom or Mount. This is the Cetus constellation.
Hogsmeade Valley
This is right nearby the Hamlet of Upper Hogsfield. It is a bit hard to spot, as the player must go through some rocky woods to see it. The solution for this table is the Leo constellation.
Hogwarts Grounds Astronomy Table
Go back to Hogwarts to find the last table. Go to the Bell Tower Courtyard and walk toward the Greenhouses. There is an archway with a Hedge Dragon inside. Pass the dragon and continue on the path until there is another archway. Pass through it and go straight ahead toward the stairs. Go down the stairs and continue straight; the astronomy table will be waiting for you.
After completing the Astronomy Tables, players will be rewarded with the Starry-Eyed Seer’s gear, which can also be used to customize the appearance of other gear. This includes a scarf, an outfit, and a cape, although no facial items or headgear. Players can then continue their journey in Hogwarts Legacy in style.
