Hogwarts Legacy: Dissending For Sweets Guide

In the Dissending For Sweets side quest, Hogwarts Legacy players help Garreth Weasley by clearing a secret passageway to Honeydukes Sweet Shop.

Dissending For Sweets is a side quest Hogwarts Legacy players can complete for fellow student Garreth Weasley, which involves carrying out a small theft from the Honeydukes sweet shop in Hogsmeade. To help Garreth out, players must follow a secret underground passageway from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade, using their spells to create a path forward. In return for grabbing a special ingredient for Garreth’s latest brew, players will receive some valuable XP, Galleons, and a special Conjuration.

To get this quest from Garreth, players must have completed their first Potions class with Professor Sharp, where they may have already helped Garreth steal a Fwooper Feather and cause chaos. Afterward, Garreth can be found in Hogwarts’ Great Hall, where players can converse with him. Garreth’s already come up with a new drink idea and asks for help stealing Billywig Stings from the cellar of Honeydukes in Hogsmeade. If players agree to help him, he will direct them to a secret passageway leading straight to Honeydukes from Hogwarts.

How To Find The Secret Passageway To Honeydukes

The entrance to the secret passageway leading to Honeydukes can be found in the Grand Staircase area in Hogwarts. This is far from the only secret in this area, and players can find many of Hogwarts Legacy’s hidden Field Guide pages around the Grand Staircase. To find the statue of the one-eyed witch Garreth describes, players should travel to the Grand Staircase Floo Flame.

How To Reach Honeydukes

Inside the secret passageway, players should follow the path forward until they reach a broken elevator that can be repaired using Reparo. The lift will take players down a level where they can continue forward. Eventually, the path will open up, allowing players to drop into a small cavern. To the left, players can use Incendio or Confringo to burn away the spider webs to find a chest. Incendio and Confringo are among the first spells players can learn in Hogwarts Legacy, and players can use them to burn away any spider webs blocking their way forward.

Returning to the main path, players should use Levioso to raise the platform and climb up. Eventually, the path will branch off to the left; players can follow it and swim around the cavern to find chests. Continuing forward, players will need to fix three platforms with magic to create a path. The first requires players to use Levioso to raise it up. The second requires players to use Reparo to fix the platform and Levioso to raise it.

The third platform requires players to use Reparo to fix the platform, then Accio to raise the metal platform brace into the right position, then Levioso to raise the platform itself. Along the way, players can collect Horklump Juice for Wiggenweld Potion, as this area contains several clusters of Horklumps. At the end of the path, players will find a door that can be opened by lighting both braziers nearby. This reveals an area with some loot and a ladder up to the cellar where the Billywig Stings can be collected. Players can then return to Garreth to give him the ingredients and complete Hogwarts Legacy’s Dissending For Sweets side quest.
