Hogwarts Legacy: Rescuing Rococo Quest Guide

[ad_1]

To rescue a cute but mischief-loving Niffler named Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy, players will have to be well-prepared to brave the dungeon. While this quest has no hard and fast prerequisites beyond getting the quest, players must progress far enough in the game to have a good handle on battle tactics. In addition, players who are not yet to higher end-game levels will also need to be cautious, as enemies in this region are quite challenging.

To rescue this particular Magical Beast in Hogwarts Legacy, players must find the map’s far reaches. The Manor Cape region has several collectibles and boasts many strong enemies. Therefore, players must be prepped with potions, dangerous plants, and a strong spell list to complete this side quest. For the combat in this quest, one of the suggested spell builds is a mixture of two red spells, Confringo and Bombarda, one purple spell, Descendo, and a yellow spell, Transformation, with the added Talent that can turn it into an explosive barrel.

How To Find Henrietta’s Hideaway

The entrance to Henrietta's Hideaway in Hogwarts Legacy

To start the quest, players will first need to travel to the Hamlet of Bainburgh. There, they will need to talk to the local vendor, Agnes Coffey. Rococo is her pet Niffler. She will tell the player that she last saw him near Henrietta’s Hideaway, one of the hidden areas in Hogwarts Legacy. It is a dungeon filled with dangerous traps and Ashwinders as well. She mentions that if someone braves the Hideaway and finds Rococo, they will be rewarded.

To get to Henrietta’s Hideaway, it will either be a long walk down the coast or a somewhat long flight across the peninsula to the very southern end of Manor Cape. The Hideaway is under a ruined fortress resting on a cliff. While many Hogwarts Legacy collectibles are around the fortress, including a Merlin Trial and an Astronomy Table, there is also an Infamous Foe named Dunstan Trinity, who is level 35 at minimum.

Dunstan Trinity is also surrounded by Ashwinder enemies, so if the player chooses to take them on, they will face a tough battle ahead. Alternatively, to skip the battle and a few collectibles in Hogwarts Legacy in the area, fly around the fortress and land at the activation point of the Merlin Trial. Use a Disillusionment spell and sneak down the stairs to get started with the quest. There are a couple of enemies here as well, but they can be sneaked past. Creep down to the doorway, and use the prompt to enter the Hideaway.

Henrietta’s Hideaway First Puzzle Solution

The first puzzle inside Henrietta's Hideaway in Hogwarts Legacy

The first thing the player is greeted with is a puzzle. There are two switches. One activation cube is already present, but the other is seemingly behind a wall. The switch on the hidden cube still needs to be activated, which can be done by using the Glacius spell. Next, turn to the left to see a statue with a cauldron in front of it. Use a burning spell to light the cauldron. Lighting it will flip the wall around, bringing the second activation cube into the room. Use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to move the cube to the empty switch. Use a burning spell on that cube again to activate it.

After walking through the newly opened doorway, use Disillusionment to avoid starting a fight. In front of the player is a room filled with enemies and a large statue. To the left is a hallway that ultimately leads to a dead end. A puzzle down that hallway will give the player loot, but nothing is necessary to the quest. In the main room, two enemies are stationary on the left, one on the right, one wandering up and down the floor, and one on the balcony above.

All enemies in this area are level 30, and another enemy may appear when the fighting starts.

This can be done sneakily with the right stealth build in Hogwarts Legacy, but the player must be careful not to get spotted by the wandering enemy and the one on the balcony. Walking behind the two enemies on the left side of the room is fairly simple, but the balcony enemy is staring directly at their backs, so players must move slowly. The goal is to get to the far left corner, towards which the enemy on the balcony is observing. Once there, go up the stairs toward the balcony. Alternatively, taking the enemies down might be best in the long run, as they might be triggered anyway when the player has to get past the balcony.

Clearing out the enemies will also allow players to enter the hidden room behind the right wall, which will open up several hidden loot rooms in Hogwarts Legacy. Lighting the cauldron here will reveal a platform switch. Standing on it will take players to the hidden room with another activation switch. It will open a second door on the left side of the room, leading to several more activation cube puzzles and loot.

Back on the balcony, players can choose to go left at the top of the stairs, which leads to a dead end containing loot & collectibles.

There are also Wiggenweld Potions here if the player requires some after fighting the enemies. Players can proceed to the right to continue the quest. There will be an enemy at the end of the passage and a basket with flames in it. If the player tries to move forward, they will be sucked in by the wall and returned to the balcony. Players should first take out this enemy in Hogwarts Legacy from range to avoid a fight while solving the puzzle.

Henrietta’s Hideaway Second Puzzle Solution

Using the fire baskets to open doors in Hogwarts Legacy

To get past that wall, use Accio on the basket to pull it toward the player. It will get sucked into the wall instead. Use the moment to get past the trap wall. If the enemy has not spotted the player, or it wasn’t already defeated, continue past it or beat it. On the right-hand side is another room with some Wiggenweld Potions. Up ahead is another platform switch that leads to a Hogwarts Legacy chest. To the left is the main path. Finally, there is another large room filled with enemies. There are a total of eight enemies, with two on the left balcony.

These enemies will have to be dealt with before players can solve the next puzzle. This puzzle unlocks the area where Rococo is hiding. If players try to solve this puzzle sneakily, it will cause the enemies to notice them. Therefore, it is important that players clear the room of enemies and then solve this final puzzle.

There will be two activation switches; where the first one can be found on the balcony with the enemies. Use Accio from the right balcony to pull it to the middle of the room and drop it. Then, from the ground, use Wingardium Leviosa to take the cube to the Air switch. Cast Levioso on it to activate the switch. Next, return up the stairs into the hall.

Grab one of the fire baskets with Accio. This part of the puzzle works like the Disappearing Wall puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy‘s Treasure Vault, but the basket will activate the wall in this instance. Take it to the broken wall on the right, just under the stairs to the balcony. The cube is in this room, as is a treasure map. Cast Confringo on the cube and use Wingardium Leviosa to carry it up the stairs and the wall at the top. The wall will disappear, and the player will emerge onto the balcony back in the main room. Take the cube to the other remaining switch, which will, in turn, open the room Rococo is hiding in.

Once the puzzle is solved, players can use the Nab-Sack to rescue Rococo. The room is well stocked with gold pieces and a few treasure chests. When the player is ready to leave, stand on the platform switch at the back center of the room. This will take players back to the first room of the Hideaway. Exit and return with Rococo the Niffler to Agnes in Bainburgh. She will be thankful Rococo was found. The player can return the Niffler, demand a finding fee, or keep Rococo. Selecting any of the three options will complete the quest. The player will be rewarded with a Niffler Fur-Lined Hat and 180 XP to help them level up in Hogwarts Legacy.
