Hogwarts Legacy: Where To Get Fluxweed Stem (Potion Ingredient)

A main ingredient for making a Focus Potion in Hogwarts Legacy, a Fluxweed Stem can be harvested from a plant grown from seeds sown by the player.

Once players buy the recipe for the Focus Potion in Hogwarts Legacy, they will quickly realize that they must get several ingredients to create the brew, including a Fluxweed Stem grown from a particular plant. While it takes some patience and plenty of currency to acquire the Fluxweed plant and the material it provides, this potion component remains much easier to collect compared to others that demand players defeat enemies first. Despite the high amount of galleons needed to have all the materials required to make a Focus Potion with a Fluxweed Stem, players have plenty of opportunities to gain the items they desire.

The first obstacle to making a Focus Potion in the first place comes from the cost of the recipe, as J. Pippin’s Potion shop in Hogsmeade sells the ingredient list for a whopping 1,200 galleons. Especially toward the beginning chapters of the main story, this price will take players time to reach, provided they are searching every inch of the Hogwarts or Hogsmeade map for hidden secrets or treasures. However, suppose players have a mount or upgraded broom in Hogwarts Legacy. In that case, they have a far better chance of traversing areas quickly and possibly spotting sections that would otherwise be hard to spot from the ground.

How To Grow Fluxweed Stem in Hogwarts Legacy

A certain shop in Hogsmeade called The Magic Neep must be visited to make the initial step toward the Fluxweed Stem ingredient, as they sell seeds for the Fluxweed plant for 350 galleons. Although this price can be a bit high when considering the cost of the Focus Potion recipe in addition, players may also buy the stems from the shop for 150 galleons, but this does prevent the chance to gain renewable seeds through growing them. Once these seeds have been bought, players should head toward the Room of Requirement, as a Conjuring spell in Hogwarts Legacy taught by Professor Weasley gives them access to a Potting table if they select the Herbology tab when casting their magic.

Placing the Fluxweed seeds in a large pot lets them grow fairly rapidly, growing into a full version of the plant in roughly 15 minutes. Since the Focus Potion requires two other ingredients, Lacewing Flies and a Dugbog Tongue, players may want to wait to find the other items listed in the potion’s recipe. After enough time has passed, players can get a Fluxweed Stem by simply selecting the prompt on their fully grown plant and adding the potion ingredient in Hogwarts Legacy to their inventory.
