How to Catch (& Evolve) Tinkatink in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Players in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can find Tinkatink in stone ruin areas and evolve the Pokémon into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are 107 new Generation 9 Pokémon scattered throughout the Paldea region, one of which is the Fairy-/Steel-type creature, Tinkatink. Players can find and catch a Tinkatink very early on and will be able to evolve the Pokémon into two advanced forms. Tinkatink can evolve into a Tinkatuff or Tinkaton and can be used to great effect against Dark, Dragon, and Ice Pokémon. Additionally, players can narrow their search for a Tinkatink to one specific region to catch the creature quickly and can evolve their new Pokémon by simply leveling up their Tinkatink.
Regardless of which Pokémon Scarlet & Violet storyline players start with, they should search for this bright pink Pokémon in the South Province region. Tinkatink’s habitat entry confirms that the creature ‘Lives among ruins,’ and several stone ruin areas are scattered throughout Paldea where a Tinkatink creature can spawn. Players can search the ruins in Southern Province Area 2 to find a Tinkatink and should utilize a high-level Poké Ball to increase their chances of successfully catching the Pokémon once they track it down.
What Level Does Tinkatink Evolve Into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton?
Once players catch a Tinkatink, they can level up the Pokémon and utilize three special abilities in combat. Tinkatink can use ‘Moldbreaker’ and ‘Own Tempo’ in addition to the Pokémon’s hidden ability ‘Pickpocket,’ which allows Tinkatink to steal an item when it is hit by another Pokémon. Additionally, players can evolve their Tinkatink throughout Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s story into a Tinkatuf once they raise the creature’s level to 24. Tinkatuff utilizes the same abilities as a Tinkatink, but the second evolution Pokémon will receive a moderate boost to all base stats.
To evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton, players must raise their Pokémon’s level again, from level 24 to 38. To level up their Tinkatuff faster, players should place the Pokémon at the top of their party, as this will award additional experience points towards leveling up. Once players trigger this third stage evolution, they can utilize the powerful ‘Gigaton Hammer’ move of the Tinkaton in combat, which has a base attack value of 160 points. Players will also benefit from the Tinkaton’s elevated special defense and speed stats, as this final evolution could be one of the favorites in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s Gen 9 Pokédex.
