How to Evolve Bramblin into Brambleghast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Bramblin is a new Grass/Ghost type that was added in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Players can evolve the monster through a special evolution method.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have added 108 brand-new monsters to the series, including the powerful Grass-/Ghost-type Bramblin. This creature is referred to as the Tumbleweed Pokémon and is entry number 242 in the Paldean Pokédex. As one would expect, players can find Bramblin blown around by the wind across the region. In addition to the new Pokémon, Scarlet and Violet introduced some new evolution mechanics.

When players first catch Bramblin, they may not understand how to evolve the Pokémon into Brambleghast. This is because the monster’s evolution method is tied to the new Let’s Go feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Let’s Go allows trainers to release the first Pokémon in their party at their feet and auto-battle wild monsters. This fun mechanic is great for leveling Pokémon and retrieving items. Players can evolve their Bramblin by using this feature and walking 1,000 steps with them out of the Poké Ball. Afterward, the Bramblin will need to gain one level, either through battle or from a rare candy.

Where To Catch Bramblin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Bramblin can be found in two different areas of Paldea. Similar to tumbleweeds in the real world, both regions are deserts. Trainers will need to travel to either the Asado Desert or East Province’s Area Three. As previously mentioned, players can see Bramblin rolling around in either desert. They are not difficult monsters to catch, making Bramblin a great addition to any team in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

This Grass-/Ghost-type Pokémon has a base stat total of 275, focusing more on Attack. When Bramblin evolves into Brambleghast, the base stat total goes up to 480. While not exceptional, they have high Speed and Attack. The evolution line learns a mixture of Special and Physical moves. Phantom Force and Power Whip are the standout moves learned from level up. Ghost types benefit from being immune to both Normal and Fighting-type moves. While Bramblin and Brambleghast have a 2x weakness to five types, they can recover their HP with moves like Giga Drain.

A new entry into the franchise is always an exciting time for Pokémon fans. Scarlet and Violet have shaken up the classic formula while keeping the series’ identity intact. Trainers are scrambling to find and catch all the new Pokémon introduced, such as LeChonk in Pokémon SV. While Bramblin may be a fun addition to the series, players have 107 more exciting monsters to collect in the Paldean region of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
