How to Interrogate Enemies in Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Players can interrogate Hydra agents in Marvel’s Midnight Suns by completing a Hero Op with Captain Marvel and a Research Project called Truth Serum.
Technically the heroes of Marvel’s Midnight Suns don’t kill people. Their enemies are knocked out for the rest of the fight instead. However, as the game progresses, players can unlock the opportunity to interrogate enemies. A successful interrogation can reward credits, blueprints, intel, essences, or even gamma coils.
The most common reward is a few credits, used in Midnight Suns to buy upgrades and level up characters. The other most common reward is intel points, which help unlock Hero Ops and Hero Challenges. Finally, interrogation itself involves a Hydra agent getting on their knees when they’re defeated and the player using the Interrogate Move Card, costing one Card Play.
Unlocking Interrogation in Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Unlocking interrogation requires a Research Project. Research Projects can reward schematics, combat items, and other combat upgrades. Each Research Project needs players to be at a certain research level and fulfill some requirements. For interrogation, players must reach level 4 and complete one Hero Op with Captain Marvel and her Binary mechanic.
When players meet these requirements, they unlock a Research Project called Truth Serum. The in-game description of this project states, “Carol says Hydra has a killswitch in most of their soldiers that prevent them from talking once they’re down. We might be able to nullify the effect if we can find the right frequency.” The project takes one day and rewards the S.T.R.I.K.E war room schematic.
Building the S.T.R.I.K.E terminal costs 100 credits. The terminal is a large red structure with a glowing orb of energy suspended above it. Once the terminal is built in the war room, interrogation becomes an option for Midnight Suns‘ fantastic turn-based combat. Interrogation often appears once per mission, but it may not appear. The typically low quality of rewards from interrogation may make it a waste of time in some situations, so players should decide whether they actually want to spend a Card Play or not.
If players would rather complete Research Projects with more consistent rewards, the Kree Processor is another war room upgrade that grants 33% more intel from an intel cache and allows players to run two Hero Ops at once. The schematic comes from the Alien Alloys Research Project, unlocked at level 4 with three upgraded Captain Marvel abilities, making her, even more OP in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. At least if players like squeezing prisoners for information, they’ll enjoy interrogating enemies in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
