Hulk’s Son Rumored To Make Appearance In She-Hulk

[ad_1]

Rumors are swirling that Hulk’s Sakaaran son, who would’ve been conceived before Avengers: Infinity War, may make his live-action debut in She-Hulk.

The Hulk’s son, Skaar, is rumored to be making his live-action debut in Disney+’s She-Hulk. As one of the many shows taking place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series will follow its titular character, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), as she balances her newly acquired gamma powers with life as a lawyer. Similarly to how WandaVisionThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki have all been uniquely their own, She-Hulk is being directed by Kat Coiro (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Anu Valia (AP Bio) and is being presented as a half-hour legal comedy spanning 10 episodes.

Filming for the series is currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia, and, aside from sightings of Mark Ruffalo wearing Professor/Smart Hulk garb and rumored Skrull appearances, plot details are being kept under wraps. That said, She-Hulk is set to feature the return of Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk and the Abomination (Tim Roth)—who we haven’t seen since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Also joining the cast are Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jameela Jamil as the She-Hulk villain Titania. Now, the Hulk family tree is rumored to be expanding.

According to The Direct, the Hulk’s son from Sakaar, Skaar, will arrive during the events of She-Hulk. No actor is currently attached to the role and the character’s inclusion has not been confirmed by Disney or Marvel Studios. However, Banner, as the Hulk, spent 3 years on Sakaar between the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Thor: Ragnorak. It’s entirely possible he conceived a child during that high-profile time.

In the comics, Skaar first appears in the Planet Hulk story arc—which Thor: Ragnarok loosely adapts—after he is conceived by the Hulk and a Sakaaran, Caiera the Oldstrong. After being exiled by his mother, Skaar, who possesses similar abilities to the Hulk, heads to Earth with a desire to kill his father. Eventually, Banner and Skaar develop a close father-son relationship. Taking into consideration the time jump between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and the fact that time works differently on Sakaar—at least according to the Grand Master—it wouldn’t be surprising if a fully-grown Skaar shows up during She-Hulk.

In Thor: Ragnarok, Banner has no memory of the Hulk’s Sakaaran escapades. That said, the surprise appearance of an illegitimate child and possibly a mother looking for some sort of alimony makes sense within the confines of a legal comedy. Skaar’s inclusion in She-Hulk would set up another young MCU hero for the much-rumored Young Avengers. Regardless, with the Hulk and Abomination already confirmed, She-Hulk is set to be a CGI affair on par with what audiences have seen in the studio’s big-screen outings.
