Impressive Minecraft Build Turns a Container Ship Into a Settlement

[ad_1]

A Minecraft player recently created a massive abandoned container ship, which also serves as a home to a large and colorful settlement.

Minecraft build has established a gorgeously detail settlement on top of an abandoned cargo ship. Mojang’s survival sandbox game allows players to embrace their creativity by constructing any number of unique builds. Minecraft creations range from fantasy locales to recreations of real-world locations, depending on the inspiration of the player.

Minecraft features two distinct game modes, Creative and Survival, which offer players two separate experiences. Creative mode gives users unlimited resources and health, and allows them to fly in order to have absolute freedom in creation. Meanwhile, Survival mode takes advantage of all of Minecraft‘s mechanics, with players fighting to survive against starvation and a variety of hostile predators. In both modes – with their subsequently different approaches to building – players have managed to complete some remarkable constructions. Real-world landmarks are frequently recreated in Minecraft, while some players prefer to build renditions of fictional locales like The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s land of Hyrule.

Reddit user nayakura8080 recently posted a beautifully detailed Minecraft build which places a settlement on top of an abandoned container ship. The gorgeous build combines industrial and natural elements, with the steel ship being overtaken by trees and moss. Walkways and trees appear to connect the entire ship together, allowing players to traverse the settlement. The ship also sits beached on the shore, allowing players to travel from the settlement to physical land. Some fellow Reddit users noted that the ship might include certain Minecraft mods, which might have allowed nayakura8080 to use certain blocks that aren’t present in the official version of the game.

While many Minecraft players recreate real-world items or locations in-game, some of its elements have been recreated in real life. One creative fan instead recently made Minecraft blocks in the real world, using some skill and technical know-how to bring the game’s glass and grass blocks to life. The glass block was made by pouring clear epoxy resin into a cube-shaped mold. Meanwhile, the grass block was made by cutting grassy dirt directly out of the ground and trimming it with some shears. The square materials look unnatural in the real world, but are quite distinct to any Minecraft player.

Minecraft players have created a huge number of unique and creative builds using the game’s wide variety of resources and tools. Many of these builds are impressive in size or detail, but nayakura8080’s abandoned container ship settlement manages to capture both qualities. The ship manages to be a unique creation with the player’s use of both industrial construction and natural overgrowth, even among so many Minecraft builds of a similar scale out there.
