Netflix’s Lockwood & Co. has an unlikely connection to the MCU that makes the series even more fun than it already is. Based on the book series of the same name by Jonathan Stroud, the Netflix series follows Anthony Lockwood, Lucy Carlyle, and George Harim, who make up the titular teenage ghost-hunting agency. Despite their ages and the size of Lockwood & Co. compared to competitors, they quickly distinguish themselves as one of the best ghost-hunting agencies in the game. Though they are skilled at what they do, the small and independent nature of Lockwood & Co. leads to the group facing plenty of opposition from larger agencies.

Lockwood & Co’s Holland Family Links Adds Another Layer To Its Story

It might seem strange to think of Netflix’s Lockwood & Co. and the MCU’s Spider-Man series together. However, the two franchises are linked in more ways than one, as two of the Holland brothers appear in each respective series, with Tom playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Paddy Holland playing a Fittes agent in Lockwood & Co. This might not seem like an important connection at first, but their casting adds an interesting layer to Lockwood & Co. when considering the kind of role both Tom and Paddy Holland play in their respective series.

Tom Holland has gained renown for portraying the titular hero in the MCU’s Spider-Man movies, which gives a different meaning to his brother Paddy Holland’s role in Lockwood & Co. In the Netflix show, the younger Holland brother portrays Bobby Vernon, who is a ghost hunter under the supervision of Quill Kipps.
