MAFS: How Gina Was Hypocritical During Her First Argument With Clint

[ad_1]

Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb found themselves at odds over comments Clint made on Married At First Sight season 16, but Gina was wrong too.

Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb ended their honeymoon with a blow up on Married At First Sight season 16, but while Clint said something he shouldn’t have, Gina wasn’t an innocent participant. When Gina, 36, and Clint, 40, met at the altar, they initially appeared to hit it off. Despite the awkwardness that comes with an arranged marriage, Gina and Clint shared a kiss, enjoyed their reception, and even discovered they lived in the same Nashville apartment building.

On Married At First Sight season 16, Gina’s workaholic personality and Clint’s carefree persona were expected to balance each other out when they were matched by expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz. However, it didn’t take long for contention to develop on their honeymoon. Although they previously expressed interest in one another and had fun during the first part of their adventure in Jamaica, the MAFS season 16 couple’s honeymoon concluded on a rough note after Gina and Clint found themselves in a tense argument. Gina, who was offended that Clint told their co-stars that he normally dated “slender” women, broke the fourth wall when she walked away from her husband. While Clint’s admission was inappropriate, Gina’s own behavior made her look hypocritical.

Clint Revealed His Type After Gina Criticized His Appearance

Clint on Married at First Sight season 16

When the couples of MAFS season 16 finally convened in Jamaica, each duo disclosed tidbits of their respective honeymoons, such as Airris Williams’ interest in intimacy, Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille’s late start, and Nicole Lilienthal and Christopher Thielk’s heartfelt conversations. Unfortunately for Clint, he made a dire mistake when he told everyone that before Gina, he generally dated fit and athletic women. The comment immediately irritated the women present, and became the catalyst of his fight with Gina. That being said, what Gina failed to tell the other women afterwards was that she criticized Clint’s appearance first. In an earlier conversation in which Clint remarked that they seemed compatible, Gina plainly stated that she didn’t like redheads and didn’t find Clint attractive. Clint didn’t say much in response, but it was clear that he wasn’t happy.

Gina Demanded An Apology But Wouldn’t Give Clint One

When Gina confronted Clint about his “slender” comment, she demanded an apology from her husband and reiterated that he angered all the MAFS season 16 women. To Gina’s credit, Clint should have just apologized for his remark, but he made it clear that he wanted an apology from Gina as well. Clint expressed that he didn’t intend to offend Gina, and was upset that she continuously referred to him as a “ginger.” Like Clint, who resembles various celebrities, Gina should have apologized, but instead doubled-down on her own comments and used her profession as a hairstylist as a defense. Gina immediately became defensive when her previous actions were brought up by Clint. However, he had a point: two wrongs don’t make a right.

With plenty of Married At First Sight episodes left, there’s a chance that Gina and Clint could successfully move past their first argument and eventually develop stronger feelings for one another. Based on their revelations in Jamaica, it’s quite possible that Gina and Clint won’t make it past Decision Day. On one hand, they wouldn’t be the only ones to divorce early, as rumors have swirled that Domynique Kloss and Mackinley Gilbert split early since MAFS season 16 kicked off. On the other hand, between Gina’s admission that she isn’t attracted to redheads and Clint’s carefree personality, it’s clear that the MAFS experts didn’t arrange this marriage with true love in mind.
