Marvel’s Hulk-Wolverine Just Got A Horrifying Transformation

Marvel’s Hulk-Wolverine combination hero just transformed into something even more horrifying, as he gets an all-new form with the Savage Avengers.

In Savage Avengers #8, the superteam’s battle against the future version of the supervillain ends with their defeat – leading Ultron to transform Weapon H and the team into his own army of Deathloks. The clawed hero ends up taking on a disgusting new appearance as Ultron shapes him into something new.

In Savage Avengers #8 by David Pepose, Carlos Mango, Espn Grundetjern, and VC’s Travis Lanham, the Savage Avengers find themselves in 2099, working alongside Punisher 2099 and Doom 2099 to take down Ultron and his army of Deathloks. However, their battle doesn’t go as planned, as Ultron, armed with the Time-Array Gauntlet, easily handles the heroes, killing them one by one. One of the darkest deaths occurs when Doom controls the nanobots inside Weapon H, as Marvel’s Hulk-Wolverine combination hero basically melts as his body struggles to hold itself together. By the issue’s end, Weapon H and the Savage Avengers are turned into Deathlok’s themselves, giving the hero his most horrifying form ever.

Weapon H’s New Form Is His Latest Transformation

Weapon H is a powerhouse in the Marvel Universe, as Clay Cortez was a former mercenary transformed into a monster after Weapon X experimented on him. Labeled Weapon H, he had the powers of Hulk, Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Domino, with adamantium bones and claws and the strength of the Jade Giant. However, with Weapon H’s body being held together by nanobots, Ultron just exploited his weakness and transformed him once again.

Weapon H has already seen his powers and appearance transform in the Savage Avengers. A change in his gamma frequency previously turned the Hulk-Wolverine combination hero into a Red Hulk with wings. However, being turned into a Deathlok alongside his teammates represents his darkest form yet – as his nanobots have been manipulated to the point where he looks more like a deflated Frankenstein than a Hulk. Weapon H is now a weapon of Ultron’s, meaning Deathlok and Punisher 2099 are the only hope in saving their transformed teammates. It won’t be easy for at-odds heroes.

Considering Weapon H has rarely been allowed to live a normal life after being initially transformed, his latest change makes that possibility even more unlikely. As a Deathlok, he’s taken on his most disgusting form yet as an agent of Ultron’s army. Stopping the Hulk-Wolverine combination hero in his darkest form and the rest of the Avengers will be a significant challenge for those who survived the deadly encounter with Ultron.
