Minecraft Fan Repairs Every Block In A Ruined Ancient City

A Minecraft player has refurbished an ancient city in creative mode by clearing out blocks in the ruins and creating a neater underground city.

A Minecraft player has refurbished an Ancient City in creative mode by clearing out stray blocks in the ruins. The “fixed” underground city is neater and more spacious than how the Ancient City normally looks in the newest update to survival sandbox game. Developer Mojang announced the Minecraft Wild update at Minecraft Live 2021 and a snapshot of the update was recently released, allowing players to finally explore the Deep Dark and Ancient Cities.

Mojang’s esteemed game Minecraft was originally released in 2011, but the devoted community has ensured that the game is continuously updated. The Deep Dark is extremely menacing compared to the rest of the game, allowing players to access the sinister new biome and the ruins of Ancient Cities within it. The inclusion of uncanny Sculk blocks, some of which scream when a Sculk sensor is triggered, contribute to the eerie feel of the Ancient Cities. It doesn’t help that the sinister and powerful Wardens, capable of surviving end crystal blasts, also spawn down there. However, regardless of the fear this might instill in Minecraft fans, many are very excited to take a look at the new update and explore all there is to find.

Not long after the Deep Dark snapshots release, fans are already playing around in the new version of Minecraft. User unsuspecting_emu shared their latest endeavor in the sandbox on Reddit, captioning the image “I fixed an Ancient City block by block.” The image shows a refurbished Ancient City that is more orderly due to the removal of stray blocks. In the middle of the city is a clear walkway and pillars with candles set on either side. At the end is a portal framed by a new block called Reinforced Deepslate that is durable and unattainable in survival – the use of it is currently unknown, especially since some Minecraft blocks like Redstone are so complex. Reddit users in the comments seem rightfully pleased with unsuspecting_emu’s hard work.

Minecraft has maintained relevancy for over a decade now and the Wild Update is getting a new wave of people raving about the game once again. Fans on social media are sharing their own creations and experiences in the Deep Dark non-stop and the community is responding overwhelmingly positively to their own testing of the upcoming update. The popularity of Minecraft on the internet is the most potent reason behind its consistent relevancy, as Youtubers and streamers of the game draw in massive numbers. That and the ability to create beloved Internet memes such as the Backrooms in Minecraft ensures that the community is thriving.

The most popular aspect of Minecraft is arguably its community and its creations, and the introduction of a new update opens doors and windows for creativity. Fans are excited for the full release of the Wild Update and the dark adventures that can be found within. As of right now, a preview of the Wild Update is available, and the full version is set to be released in a Minecraft update later this year.
