Moon Knight Art Imagines What Oscar Isaac Looks Like in Leaked Costume

A new piece of Moon Knight fan art imagines what Oscar Isaac would look like in a costume that was supposedly leaked by Marvel HUB. As Disney+’s What If…? continues to explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse, Phase 4 will introduce a lot of new heroes. While many of those characters exist independently of the so-called Scared Timeline (and in animation), various other live-action shows are in production, which will introduce newcomers like Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. The latter is currently in production and expected to premiere next year as a six-part series.

Moon Knight was officially confirmed by Marvel Studios back in 2019 at D23, with Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) as showrunner. The following year, it was announced that Isaac would be playing its titular character and Ethan Hawke would play a still-unknown villain. The series will also star May Calamawy, Dina Shihabi. Alexander Cobb, Gaspard Ulliel, and Loic Mabanza. As with all Marvel projects, details have largely been kept under lock and key. However, Marvel HUB recently tweeted what appears to be a leaked image of Isaac in a full, comic-accurate Moon Knight costume. While the image drew plenty of attention online, the legitimacy of the leak is yet to be confirmed.

Artist Venomhology recently shared an artwork imagining Isaac in the Moon Knight costume portrayed in the supposed leak on Instagram. The piece sees a figure donning Moon Knight’s signature robes, crescent moons and white eyes. The figure is also wielding a Moonrang, the comic book hero’s trademark weapon. Check it out below:

Moon Knight follows Marc Spector, a U.S. marine who becomes the avatar for the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu, after a near-death experience. With powers dependent on the lunar cycle, Marc adopts the mantle of crimefighting hero, “Moon Knight.” Unfortunately, the development of multiple secret identities leads Spector to develop a dissociative identity disorder. Due to the character’s ties with the nighttime, his associated weapons (the Mooncopter and Moonrangs), and his vigilantism, Moon Knight has previously drawn many comparisons to DC’s Batman.

If Moon Knight succeeds in its goal of being one of the MCU’s darkest and most compelling projects yet, however, Marc Spector may finally escape Bruce Wayne’s shadow. This has certainly seemed to be the case in videos shared by Isaac documenting his intense training for the series, which give some insight into Moon Knight‘s physical brutality. And whether or not the hero’s allegedly leaked costume turns out to be legitimate, when Isaac officially steps into the light in Moon Knight, eager fans will surely be in for some action.
