Naruto’s Female Form Channels Hinata in Incredible New Cosplay

Naruto’s female transformation was a goofy gag early in the series, but one Cosplay artist has taken that iconic form and made it their own.

Though Naruto has many powerful jutsu in his toolbox, his earliest is still one of his most memorable, and it just served as inspiration for an incredible new cosplay. Given the series’ incredible popularity, it’s no wonder it would inspire so many cosplay artists. The series’ wide cast of characters has inspired countless fans, and one just showed their appreciation for the series with a great deal of creativity.

Given the pivotal role that shinobi play in Naruto’s world, it’s no surprise that the magical jutsu they perform are commonplace. While most are developed to be used in the series’ epic fights, Naruto’s most infamous technique is far more childish. Debuting in chapter 1 of Naruto by Misashi Kishimoto, the sexy jutsu technique sees Naruto transform into a naked woman with clouds providing convenient coverage. Stemming from his obnoxious attitude as a child, Naruto would use this technique as a distraction. Naruto used the technique a handful of times throughout the manga’s first half, even iterating on it by using his Shadow Clones to make the technique even more effective. Given the deliberately salacious nature of the technique, it’s no surprise that this transformation is a favorite subject for cosplay artists.

In a photoshoot, cosplay artist Akoamy_Cosplay shared her interpretation of the technique. The picture, shot by cosplay photographer Nekolife, displays Akoamy head-on looking at the viewer with confidence. Though the cosplay is undoubtedly a take on Naruto’s Sexy Jutsu, Akoamy adds more than a few of her own touches to make it really stand out. The fishnet top is instantly reminiscent of the one that Naruto’s eventual wife, Hinata, wears under her jacket. The headband around the neck also seems like a clear nod to Hinata. All of it comes together to make the cosplay truly something special.

The fact that this cosplay artist was able to honor two characters in such a subtle and fun way is a testament to the creativity that goes into the art form. It also shows a deep understanding of Naruto’s character. Though the transformation he conjured as a young man was undoubtedly based on the juvenile ideas of sexuality he’d find in the dirty magazines he frequently stole, this cosplay could hint that an older Naruto would find his wife much more attractive than the pinups of his youth.

The cosplay community is undoubtedly a creative one, and that’s on full display here. Though Naruto’s sexy jutsu never looks quite like this in the actual series, it’s not difficult to imagine Naruto crafting something like this in his later years. He might be Hokage and a family man, but there’s always going to be a little bit of immaturity to him. Akoamy’s Naruto cosplay perfectly displays this side of the character while also providing something wholly original.
