[ad_1]

Netflix releases the full Wednesday blooper reel video, which sees stars Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman breaking character.

The Wednesday blooper reel takes viewers behind the scenes of the Jenna Ortega-led series with charming moments from several cast members. Starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, the gothic series contains an entertaining and eclectic mix of comedy, mystery, and supernatural elements as Ortega’s character attempts to adjust to her new boarding school, Nevermore Academy. Since Ortega’s debut as the iconic character Wednesday Addams in November, she has earned plenty of acclaim for her portrayal of the gothic teen. In particular, her mannerisms, such as the choice to hardly blink over the course of the show, have been praised by Wednesday fans, making it hard to imagine the star breaking character.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A previously released snippet of Wednesday bloopers included a few surprising and humorous gaffes, such as Ortega accidentally hitting her co-star Emma Meyers in the face with a flashlight. Netflix has now posted the full Wednesday blooper reel video, showcasing several funny moments and goofs that occurred during filming. The short video highlights Ortega’s similarities to her character in particular, at one point seeing the actor sweetly state the benefits of growling at other people with a hilariously straight face. Other moments of note include some amusing sequences that see veteran actors Zeta-Jones and Guzman breaking character and getting in on the fun. See the full video below:

Will There Be A Wednesday Season 2?

Wednesday receives a black dahlia flower from Marilyn Thornhill

Upending Stranger Things season 4’s record for most hours watched on Netflix within a week, Wednesday has grown immensely popular since it was released, with several moments from the show, such as the titular character’s gothic dance scene, going viral online. Given the buzz generated by the show and heaps of praise earned by Ortega from fans and critics alike, it’s likely that Wednesday season 2 will eventually be announced. The series clearly wasn’t meant as a one-off, since season 1 ended with a few points of setup for a potential season 2.

In addition, Miles Millar, one of the co-creators of Wednesday, has teased possible plot points for season 2, indicating that there are currently plans for up to four seasons. Ortega has also discussed Wednesday season 2, describing some of her hopes for the next season if the series is renewed. One potential obstacle standing in the way of Wednesday‘s renewal is Netflix’s notorious habit of canceling shows after just one or two seasons, despite their sometimes devoted fan bases.

Though Wednesday has yet to be renewed, it’s unlikely to suffer the fate of other popular Netflix series such as First Kill or I Am Not Okay With This. Unlike many of the canceled shows, Wednesday has earned heavy promotion from the streaming service, indicating that the streamer has significantly invested in building and maintaining a fan base for the series. Additionally, the record-breaking viewership numbers boasted by Wednesday so soon after it premiered bode extremely well for its longevity. In terms of whether the cast will sign on for season 2, the new blooper reel shows they clearly had fun making Wednesday, making it likely that the majority will return for the next installment.
