New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Leak Really Seems To Hint At Kalos DLC

[ad_1]

A hint at what Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC could look like has been revealed, and it could be a good sign for the games’ future updates.

A potential leak for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet implies that a piece of Kalos could be coming to the games via DLC. Rumors of the games’ potential future have been a hotbed for speculation, and the recent news is one of the biggest pieces of evidence yet. This could be the first indicator of what may lie ahead for Scarlet and Violet.

The question of whether Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will feature DLC has existed since the games’ release. After the successful rollout of Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra for Sword and Shield, the possibility of future Pokémon titles receiving similar treatment is something that’s hard to overlook. This is especially true considering that Scarlet and Violet already have Pokémon‘s best story. Not only does that set a high bar for any DLC storyline to clear, but it also hints at potential plots that may lie in the future.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC May Include Eternal Flower Floette

AZ reunites with Floette in Pokémon X and Y, holding his hands out in front of him for the Pokémon to float above.

In what could be a leak for Scarlet and Violet DLC, an image of Eternal Flower Floette was posted to the Twitter account Riddler_Khu. Introduced in Generation 6, Floette is already in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but Eternal Flower Floette has never been available in any previous Pokémon title. This alternative version of Floette was referenced in AZ flashbacks and game data but both Floette and its move, Light of Ruin have never been released. This leak could be a sign that Eternal Flower Floette will finally be available to players.

History Could Be A Major Theme In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC

If this Scarlet and Violet DLC leak is accurate, it would be evidence of a few important details. It would show that Pokémon, and possibly even story elements from outside Paldea are fair game to come in for DLC. It could also be proof that the game may be considering adding Legendary or even Mythical Pokémon through DLC. While Eternal Flower Floette itself isn’t legendary, it is a far stronger version of Floette that has previously been unavailable to players. It’s also possible that Eternal Flower Floette could be the Paradox Form of Floette, opening the door for more Paradox Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet DLC.

Time travel was already a major part of Scarlet and Violet, with the Paradox Pokémon and Area Zero storyline being two of the game’s strongest points. Since Eternal Flower Floette canonically came from thousands of years in the past, there is good reason to think that other pieces of lore from past games can come into play as well. After the main game gave players such a long look at Paldea’s history and the Pokémon that dwelled there, other regions’ past is fair game as well. It could be a good sign for the state of Scarlet and Violet‘s future DLC if true.

Eternal Flower Floette would be a major addition to Scarlet and Violet if the leak is accurate. Not only would DLC for Scarlet and Violet provide more content for players, but it could also expand on the best parts of the game as is. Hopefully, Eternal Flower Floette is a good sign for what’s to come with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s DLC.
