6/6 Wo-Chien

Wo-Chien in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

One fourth of the Dark Quartet, Wo-Chien is a dual type Pokémon: Dark/Grass. It is one of the rarest and hardest to catch in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and boasts a high Special Defense Stat. This legendary embodies the hatred of the person who recorded the crimes of their King, but was punished for the same. A lot more powerful than almost every other Pokémon, it has some weaknesses that ranks it lower than the others in the game.

Wo-Chien has a disadvantageous typing, which goes on to make it 4x weak to Bug type Pokémon. While its woody snail design is interesting, it is a bit boring and doesn’t catch the eye like the others do.

5/6 Chien-Pao

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Chien-Pao Unlocked Through Yellow Ominous Stakes at Level 60 Encounter

With soaring Speed and Attack stats, Chien-Pao is a very unique, feline looking legendary. It is a Dark and Ice-type, just like the rest of the Four Treasures of Ruin. Sealed away in a shrine in the West Province, it personifies the hatred of the people who were killed by the king. Like Wo-Chien, Chein Pao is also vulnerable 4x to attack by Fighting types, but what makes it stand out is its fantastic design.

With swords for teeth, a snowy white body and icy blue eyes, this legendary is one that will look good on the Pokédex, as it would add to it with its abilities. It is well worth collecting eight Stakes and uncovering the Ruinous Shrine, but its disadvantages make it a little less than the best.

4/6 Ting-Lu

Ting-Lu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Not only does Ting-Lu have the highest HP, but also powerful Attack and Defense stats (which makes it a Pokémon that can fight longer and stronger). Ting-Lu used to be a ritual doll, which came alive with the fear of the citizens of their king, and this history can be seen in its form, which is a mix of deer and totem (like the doll.) It features an iron bowl as its horns.

The Dark and Ground-type makes it a menacing monster in battle, and a versatile one too. Unlike Wo-Chien and Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu takes only 2x damage against certain types of Pokémon, which makes it twice as powerful to its Quartet siblings. There are plenty of unpopular opinions about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but everyone will agree that it has some solid new legendary Pokémon.

3/6 Chi-Yu

The Dark and Fire-type Chi-Yu is the strongest of the Ruinous Quartet, with the best Special Attack base Stat of 135, which is exceptional. This pairs very well with its Fire/ Dark typing since a lot of those attacks are special. This one-of-a-kind Pokémon.

Paldea’s fiery fish is unlike any other, and fans love its unique design and the paradox of a being of water, forged in flames. Chi-Yu can control flames, burning at over 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit, and swims through seas of lava. This legendary is an enviable one and can be found in a Firescourge Shrine in the game.

2/6 Koraidon

Scarlet’s Koraidon boasts some of the highest attack stats in the game, and ties with Miriadon for best new legendary Generation IX Pokémon. This Fighting and Dragon-type looks absolutely smashing with its bright red reptilian body, replete with feathers and a robust build. With 135 Physical Attack Stats and Speed Stats, it is a worthy opponent in battle.

Koraidon is meant to be a ride, so it has various builds to make traveling easier. It has a Sprinting Build, where it runs on all fours; a Swimming Build, where its throat becomes a floatation device, and a Gliding Build, where its tendrils unfurl into wings. Dragon Claw and Outrage attacks and Collision Course moves make Koraidon very intimidating.

1/6 Miraidon

The Miraidon Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet

An Electric and Dragon type, Miriadon is a majestic robotic reptilian Pokémon, with purple, blue and grey colors. A lot of its features are tech and robot-inspired, including the legs, eyes, and tail. The lightning-shaped antennae also provides a great aesthetic flourish.

Like Koraidon, it has Drive Mode in which it generates accelerating energy in its throat and tail; Aquatic Mode where the jet engines in its legs propel it forward in water, and Glide mode where its antennae help it float midair. Miriadon is the best legendary because it has extremely sweet interactions in the game (just like Koraidon), where it asks to share Arven’s sandwiches in a cutscene. It makes them great Pokémon to have, in addition to the strengths.
