Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How to Evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius

[ad_1]

To evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers must acquire a special Evolution Item earned from Pokédex progression.

Trainers looking to evolve their Ghost-type Misdreavus into Mismagius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will need a specific Evolution Item known as the Dusk Stone. This item is also required to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow. Unlike the evolutionary stones from Generation I, the Dusk Stone is not sold at Delibird Presents, which can make it quite tricky to obtain. However, one of the easiest ways to get this special Evolution Item is by registering Pokémon into the Paldean Dex. More specifically, Trainers will be rewarded with a Dusk Stone for catching 130 different species of Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Another way to get Dusk Stones to evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is through exploring the open world. Like the Sun Stone or Ice Stone, there are specific spots on the map where Trainers are guaranteed to encounter a Poké Ball node with the Dusk Stone. Such locations include the bottom of a ridge southeast of the city of Cascarrafa. Once players progress to Montenevera in the snowy region of Glaseado Mountain, they can find another Dusk Stone behind the building near the Montenevera Gym.

However, suppose players have already used their Cascarrafa Dusk Stone to evolve Murkrow and have yet to reach Montenevera or acquire 130 Pokédex entries. In that case, there is still another way to get the Evolution Item for evolving Misdreavus into Mismagius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This method involves heading to the Auction House in Porto Marinada on the western side of Paldea.

According to Game8, Trainers must complete the Cascarrafa’s Gym Test, which involves winning a Seaweed Bidding Auction for Gym Leader Kofu. The objective of this test is extremely easy to complete and is primarily used as a tutorial to teach players how the Auction market functions in Porto Marinada.

Once Trainers have won the bid for Kofu, they will be able to use Porto Marinada Auction at their leisure. The offerings at the Auction change on a daily basis, but players can change the time of their Nintendo Switch to reset the sellers’ items. Nonetheless, they should be careful not to corrupt their save files by using this exploit. Eventually, a Dusk Stone will be available at one of the sellers, and players can bid against other NPCs to “win” the Evolution Item for Pokédollars.

Once Trainers outbid their opponents, the Dusk Stone will be theirs to keep. They can then open up their inventory, select the Dusk Stone, and give it to Misdreavus. Regardless of its level or the time of day, Misdreavus will evolve into Mismagius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet once given this stone.
