Scarlet & Violet: New Pokémon Cyclizar Revealed

[ad_1]

A brand new Pokemon is unveiled during this weekend’s 2022 Pokémon World Championships, Scarlet and Violet’s Dragon/Normal-type Cyclizar.

Yet another new Pokémon has been unveiled for the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet during today’s 2022 Pokémon World Championships event: the dual Dragon/Normal type Cyclizar. Earlier this year, Nintendo and Game Freak announced the next generation of the long-running Pokémon franchise in the form of Scarlet and Violet, a pair of new games coming to the Nintendo Switch this November. Set in the Europe-inspired Paldea region, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will see players travel across the Pokémon franchise’s first true open world as they battle Gym Leaders and collect as many of the titular elementally-empowered creatures as they can.

There will be plenty of new Pokémon to capture in Scarlet and Violet, as recent leaks have suggested that these new titles will add 105 new Pokémon to the series’ ever-growing assortment of critters large and small. Many of these new Pokémon have already been revealed in official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailers, such as the Starter Trio of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly and Scarlet and Violet‘s dragon-like Legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon – who will serve as ridable mounts for the player as they travel the Paldea region. There are still a few more months to go before Pokémon Scarlet and Violet make their long-awaited debut on the Switch, meaning that there is still plenty of time left for Game Freak to unveil more of the new Pokémon roaming Paldea before players step into this exciting land for themselves.

Another new Pokémon appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was just revealed during the closing ceremonies of this weekend’s 2022 Pokémon World Championships Livestream event in a new trailer – which can be seen on both The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel and the Pokémon Twitch Channel. Early into this new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer, the player releases Cyclizar, a green, reptilian Dragon/Normal hybrid, who quickly shows off its Shared Tail attack in a battle against an opponent’s Cloyster. This handy skill lets Cyclizar switch itself out with a doll-like Substitute decoy, which in turn can be replaced with another Pokémon in the player’s party. Pokémon fansite and rumor database Serebii.net shared the announcement of Cyclizar on its Twitter account, along with the other features shown off in today’s new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer.

Cyclizar Is The Newest Addition To Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

These new features include Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s new Terastallizing mechanic, which grants certain Pokémon a powerful, crystal-like form in the middle of a battle like the Gigantimaxing and Mega Evolutions of previous Pokémon generations. Other new elements of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet include the brand-new Mirror Herb item, which lets the player’s Pokémon copy an opponent’s stat boosts, Loaded Dice, which gives multi-strike attacks more hits for added damage, and a new Terra Blast move that changes type if the user is Terastallized.

Even more details regarding Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will likely come forward in the months leading up to Generation Nine’s arrival on the Nintendo Switch, including even more new Pokémon and special variants for existing breeds. For now though, Cyclizar looks to be an interesting new addition to the Pokémon universe thanks to its tricky Shared Tail ability and dual Dragon/Normal traits. Trainers will be able to capture Cyclizar and countless other new Pokémon once Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launch this November.
