Scream 6’s Ghostface Vs. Wednesday: Jenna Ortega Knows Who Would Win

Ahead of the release of Scream 6, Jenna Ortega comments on who would win in a fight between Ghostface and Wednesday Addams. Ortega now finds herself a major star in two popular franchises, appearing in the world of Scream as Tara and also starring in Netflix’s Wednesday as the titular member of the Addams family. While season 2 of the hit Netflix show doesn’t yet have a release date, Ortega is poised to play a significant role in the fight against a new Ghostface killer when the film hits theaters this week.

With the Scream 6 release date now imminent, Ortega reveals in a new interview with Comicbook that she’s pretty sure she knows who would win in a battle between Ghostface and Wednesday. According to the star, this is one fight that Wednesday would win. Check out Ortega’s comment on the outcome of the fictitious brawl below:

“I feel like she would get him first.”

Scream’s 6’s Ghostface Would Be A Tough Match For Wednesday

​​​Ortega’s answer, in some ways, is quite surprising. While Wednesday does have budding psychic abilities, Ghostface, in all his incarnations, boasts a fairly significant kill-count. What’s more, directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have already teased that this new Ghostface in Scream 6 is different from how the villain was portrayed in past movies.

The directors have revealed this new Ghostface is far more relentless and kill-happy than audiences may be used to from past entries in the franchise. Ortega herself described the villain as “the most violent and aggressive version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen.” With this new killer being notably more formidable than past versions (and not averse to using a shotgun, as shown in the film’s trailer), Ortega’s answer speaks to just how powerful she thinks Wednesday is.

Wednesday season 1 features Ortega’s character learning how to control her psychic abilities, and it’s certainly possible that season 2 will see these abilities grow and become even more powerful. While Ghostface may not have psychic abilities, he does sometimes feature superhuman strength, speed, and stamina in the films. Ortega might be confident in the outcome of a fight between Scream 6‘s Ghostface and Wednesday, but any potential showdown between the two characters seems like it would be a toss-up.
