The Batman: Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman Gets Her Own Twitter Emoji

[ad_1]

Ahead of the theatrical debut of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, the film’s official Twitter account reveals an emoji for Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman.

Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman from Matt Reeves’ The Batman has received her own Twitter emoji. The actress is set to debut as Selina Kyle, a notorious Gotham cat burglar and iconic Batman rogue, alongside Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader. The Batman is poised to hit theaters on March 4.

Catwoman is one of Batman’s most beloved foes. Sometimes portrayed as an anti-hero and other times portrayed as a full-blown villain, Kyle is an agile cat burglar who models her costume and movement like a real cat. In previous live-action iterations, the character was played by actresses including Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, and Anne Hathaway. Now, Kravitz is stepping into the role, seemingly offering potentially the most grounded version of the character seen on the big screen to date. The Batman follows Batman (Pattinson) in the second year of his vigilante mission in Gotham City as he faces off against a mysterious serial killer who leaves riddles at the scene of his crimes, all while his alter ego Bruce Wayne becomes embroiled in a deep Gotham conspiracy.

Now, with The Batman coming to theaters next month, the marketing push for the film is in full swing. In fact, the official The Batman Twitter account has revealed a brand new emoji for Kravitz’ Catwoman. Check out the tweet, as well as the accompanying emoji, below:

The above Twitter notes that the shown emoji is the “signal” of Kravitz’ Catwoman. This compares to Batman himself and his signal shining over Gotham City. Though small, the image seems to resemble Kravitz herself and even seems to feature the catlike ski mask that she wears in the movie.

Of course, a Twitter emoji is not a lot to go off of as fans look for plot details related to Kravitz’s Catwoman and how she factors into the plot of The Batman. Though she will seemingly go toe-to-toe against Batman at some point in the film, the trailers have also suggested an uneasy alliance between the characters – something that has long characterized the relationship between the bat and the cat. With The Penguin (Colin Farrell) and The Riddler (Paul Dano) seemingly presenting bigger threats, audiences can likely expect Batman and Catwoman to work together for a fair portion of The Batman, though it’s unclear how long that alliance will last.
