There are 18 Pokémon types that players can choose from when playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and one of the best types to have in one’s team are Fairy-type Pokémon. There are 28 Fairy-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, eight having been recently introduced. The newest Fairy-type Pokémon are as follows: Dachsbun, Fidough, Flutter Mane, Iron Valiant, Scream Tail, Tinkatink, Tinkaton, and Tinkatuff.
Fairy-type Pokémon are not only known for their cuteness but for their powers relating to magic and the supernatural. One of their unique powers is the ability to purify objects. Fairy-type Pokémon are most effective against Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-type Pokémon and are weak to Poison- and Steel-type attacks. Here are the strongest Fairy-type Pokémon, based loosely on BST, every trainer should have on their team. Note that BST refers to the sum of the base stats of each Pokémon. These stats include HP, attack, defense, special attack, special defense, and speed.
Sylveon
Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokémon that has a BST score of 590. This Pokémon is evolved from Eevee, and its abilities include Cute Charm and Pixilate, making Sylveon advantageous to use against Bug-, Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-type creatures. However, this Pokémon is weak to Poison- and Steel-type Pokémon.
Florges
Florges is a Fairy-type Pokémon that has a BST of 552. This Pokémon is a third evolution and can be evolved from Floette in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This creature’s abilities include Flower Veil and Symbiosis. While this Pokémon is very powerful against Bug-, Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-type Pokémon, it is weak against Poison- and Steel-type opponents.
Scream Tail
Scream Tail is a Fairy- and Psychic-type Pokémon with a BST of 570. Unlike a lot of Pokémon, this creature does not have any known evolutions. Scream Tail’s abilities include Protosynthesis, allowing it to resist Fighting- and Psychic-type Pokémon. Additionally, this Pokémon is immune to Dragon-type creatures. Scream Tail is weak to Ghost-, Poison-, and Steel-type Pokémon. It is important to note that this is exclusive to Scarlet.
Flutter Mane
Flutter Mane is a Fairy-/Ghost-type Pokémon with a BST score of 570, due to which it has also been banned from competitive play in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokémon is the only creature in the evolution line and is a useful ally when battling Bug-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and Normal-type opponents. This Pokémon is weak to Ghost- and Steel-type Pokémon.
Iron Valiant
Iron Valiant is a Fairy/Fighting-type Pokémon with a BST of 525. There are no known evolutions for this Pokémon. Iron Valiant’s abilities include Quark Drive, making it advantageous against Bug-, Dark-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and Rock-type opponents. The Iron Valiant is weak to Fairy-, Flying-, Ghost-, Poison-, Psychic-, and Steel-type Pokémon.
Fairy-type Pokémon bring a sense of fantasy to the Pokémon franchise. They are also very effective against Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-type attacks. Between their combat power and cute looks, Fairy-type Pokémon are very versatile, especially the newest additions found in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
