Riverknight Everett introduced his new girlfriend Megan on The Family Chantel, but viewers are already mistrustful of Megan’s intentions.
The Family Chantel has broadcast Chantel Jimeno’s family being suspicious of many of the Everett family member relationships, though audiences are not casting their doubt on the newest significant other to date a family member. Chantel’s younger brother Riverknight Everett introduced his girlfriend Megan to the cameras on Monday night’s newest episode of The Family Chantel season 3. However, audiences are already voicing their suspicious when it comes to the blonde’s intentions with Chantel’s younger brother.
When Chantel and her now-husband Pedro Jimeno first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé, her family made Pedro’s pursuit of Chantel notoriously difficult. Chantel and Pedro married and the Dominican Republic native eventually made peace with his in-laws after The Family Chantel season 1. Season 2 saw Chantel’s older brother Royal Everett’s partner Angenette being interrogated and called out by her future in-laws. With the couple choosing to exit the show and Pedro being accepted by the Everett family, now Chantel’s younger siblings are airing their relationship drama. The Everett family and audiences alike don’t trust Winter Everett’s boyfriend Jah, while Riverknight’s new girlfriend Megan is raising rapid suspicions. But is the skepticism warranted?
There are multiple reasons why audiences have voiced Megan might be appearing on the show for the wrong reasons, with many sharing their concerns on a clip from @tlc on Instagram that showed Megan and Riverknight. Viewers were taken aback by the model who started dating Riverknight despite several inconveniences. For one, Megan is 28 years old and Riverknight is 23. She also lives in Savannah, Georgia which is four hours away from Riverknight. Age gaps and long-distance dating are two of the reasons why viewers are not sure if Riverknight and Megan’s relationship will last. Other viewers were skeptical that gorgeous Megan had sought Riverknight out for a chance to appear on TV, since the clip said she works as a model. This wouldn’t be the first 90 Day Fiancé clout chaser accusation from viewers.
Viewers took to the Instagram clip of the couple to voice their concerns, and it appears that one of the main alarm bells for viewers is Megan’s profession. “It’s obvious she just wants to be on TV,” one top commenter wrote. “Yup! Some commenters voiced that the ultimate relationship test would be seeing how Megan interacts with Riverknight’s family. “HAHA….wait til she meets his family, if they treat her how the treat their other children’s significant others…then she better run!!” one commenter wrote. Riverknight’s sister Chantel and mother Karen are known to be particularly hard on significant others who date family members.
While some viewers have raised their doubts about Megan and Riverknight, the couple will have the opportunity to prove their critics wrong as their relationship story progresses. Riverknight recalled how he immediately clicked with Megan and was drawn to her personality, while Megan made it clear that things were casual at the moment and she believed good things take time. Therefore, the couple has likely had many months to explore their romance off-camera and work on their relationship. Since Riverknight and Megan still follow each other on Instagram and comment on each other’s posts, there is a good chance that their relationship is going strong.
