The Masked Singer Contestant Gargoyle’s Dad Encouraged Him

Gargoyle’s The Masked Singer clue package began with him sitting on the ground outside of a castle among angel statues. He said, “From the time I was six, I pretty much knew I wanted to be a superhero. But while my peers all seemed to fly, I was always stuck on the sidelines.” A jukebox with a sticker that read, “I Love L.A.” was then shown. Gargoyle continued, “Until my dad gave me a piece of advice – don’t ever let anyone tell you, you can’t do something. He made me believe I could do anything, and it became my superpower.”

An actor playing Gargoyle’s dad wore a shirt that said, “World’s Greatest Dad,” while clicking the buttons on a video game controller. Then lightning struck, and Gargoyle stood up triumphantly. The Masked Singer season 9 contestant Gargoyle went on with his story, saying, “So when the call finally came for a hero, I put my cape on, and shocked millions with how hard I slay.”

The Masked Singer’s Gargoyle Is A Part Of History

As Gargoyle’s clue package continued, the gate to the castle opened, revealing a man twirling his mustache and pouring a bottle of hot sauce onto a taco. Another man who was dressed as a little girl with blonde braids bit the taco, and shrieked as fire shot out of their mouth. Gargoyle added, “I went from the guy they passed on to the guy they passed to.” He then handed the man dressed as a little girl a bottle of water, which was gulped down.

Gargoyle concluded with, “And now when the lights are blinding, and the game’s on the line, I always answer the call.” The little girl then gave him a Masked Express credit card. Gargoyle’s special The Masked Singer clue came from Shazam! Fury of The Gods stars Dame Helen Mirren and Zachary Levi. The clue was, “Record Maker!” When Nick asked the Gargoyle to explain the clue, he said, “I’m keen on making waves in the field, but being a part of history is the best bonus I could ask for.”

The Masked Singer Panelists Made Their Guesses

Robin put together the clues of the credit card and the I Love L.A. sticker, and realized that Gargoyle could be part of the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers team. He also noticed the gate in the clue package, and guessed NFL player Antonio Gates, who was the longtime tight end of the L.A. Chargers. The Masked Singer panelist Robin also called Antonio a record breaker in his own right.

Ken used the clue, “Record Maker!” and the blinding lights clue to guess The Weeknd, who has a hit song called “Blinding Lights.” Jenny thought Gargoyle might have played for the NFL’s L.A. Rams, and used the clue “giant piece of advice” to speculate that he might have also played for the New York Giants. She guessed Odell Beckham Jr., who she said can sing. As The Masked Singer season 9 continues, the judges will receive more clues about Gargoyle.
