Kim Plath of Welcome to Plathville has been rumored to have taken a new man in her life, with viewers thinking it is a man by the name of Ken Palmer.

Even though Kim Plath has been lying low since Welcome to Plathville ended, viewers think they have figured out who her new boyfriend, Ken Palmer, is. Followers were shocked to see that Kim and Barry Plath’s marriage ended during season 3 of the TLC show. The parents of nine seemed tight-knit, with no one knowing there were issues behind closed doors.

Kim was always a polarizing character on Welcome to Plathville due to her hypocritical ways. She and her husband brought their children up on a secluded farm in rural Georgia where sugar was forbidden. The children also weren’t allowed to watch TV, play video games, or go to school. As the children aged, a few, like Moriah and Ethan Plath, rebelled against their mother’s rules. When season 3 aired, fans were in for a shock, as Welcome to Plathville’s Kim was no longer practicing what she preached. The matriarch had decided she was over her strict lifestyle and was ready to live on the wild side again.

Is Kim Plath Dating?

Welcome to Plathville fans were surprised to see that Kim was now in a relationship with a man named Ken Palmer. The couple have only recently entered into a relationship, according to social media. It turns out that Ken, who works as an Aviation Maintenance Instructor at Lively Technical College, was also Issac Plath’s flight instructor. Ken is also an A&P Technician and a private pilot. Even though Ken’s Instagram is private, fans could see that Kim’s children, specifically Isaac, Micah and Lydia Plath, all follow him on social media. Ken also has multiple photos of him flying with Issac.

Fans Questions Kim Plath

Welcome to Plathville fans took to Reddit with u/SNARK63 asking if anyone had any “thoughts” about Kim’s new beau. While some felt Ken may have been “catfished,” others felt the clues lined up. Kim has also commented on Ken’s profile pic writing, “hottie,” which set fans off.

Many felt “sorry” for Isaac, but the young pilot hasn’t revealed his feelings yet about his mother’s new man. While TLC followers joked that Isaac better be getting free flight lessons, others pointed out that Kim and Barry have yet to file the paperwork on their divorce. Once again, TLC viewers felt that this new boyfriend only pointed out how all of Kim’s beliefs and opinions on the sacredness of marriage must have gone right out the window.

Not one of the Plaths has commented on Kim’s new relationship, but hopefully the new season of Welcome to Plathville will cover the transition. Barry has been keeping to himself and spending a lot of time with his children, who have supported him throughout the difficult circumstances. Kim has yet to be seen in family photos, as the older kids seem to have distanced themselves from her. At least now, Kim has found a sturdy shoulder to cry on in Ken.
