What if the teenage years were a bit more… magical? Find out more about animated show The Owl House and learn where you can watch it now.

Find out where you can watch the fantastical, animated show The Owl House, which follows a teenage girl navigating coming of age while also learning to survive in a magical world.

Being a teenager can certainly be complicated. Add in accidentally stumbling upon a portal to a magical realm that leaves you in a place called the Boiling Isles and things become pure chaos. You can watch this chaos unfold for yourself on The Owl House, a show that follows teenager Luz Noceda as she navigates this reality.

Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nichole Robles) is your average, quirky teenage girl. She enjoys fantasy novels, utters phrases in Spanish, and is a little bit geeky. Her mother Camila (Elizabeth Grullon) wants her to become a little more “typical” and sends her to a camp in hopes the experience will help. Along the way, Luz finds herself in a portal that takes her to the Boiling Isles, where she meets a witch named Eda Clawthorne (Wendie Malick) and a small warrior named King (Alex Hirsch). The show is named after the demon-manned house Eda and King live in the Owl House.

When you’re ready to embark on a journey of navigating your teenage years while also trying to navigate an unfamiliar, magical world, you can catch The Owl House on Disney+.

The Creator of The Owl House

The Owl House has amassed quite the following of loyal and passionate viewers. Dana Terrace is to thank for this, as it is her brain child that has fascinated many. She is an American animator, storyboard artist, writer, director, voice actress, and producer—talk about a packed resume!

Dana is also no stranger to working on hit Disney projects. She worked on the storyboarding for the wildly popular Disney animated show, Gravity Falls. Dana also directed the 2017 reboot of the show DuckTales.

When asked about how her experience on The Owl House differed from her experience working on Gravity Falls and DuckTales, Dana explained that “those were two very different, though very good, experiences. When I had this idea for a show, I realized, “Oh – it might be a little edgy for Disney. They might not be interested in something like this.” So I basically came into them with the concept: “Girl goes to demon realm, learns to become a witch. Take it or leave it.” And fortunately, they took it and they allowed me to explore a lot of things.”

It is unclear as to when fans can expect to see the final episode, but it is theorized that it may air on Disney Channel in April.
