TikTok user steven.vi becomes Wednesday‘s Xavier Thorpe after being compared to Percy Hynes White’s character in a viral TikTok video. White’s character made his debut in season 1 of Netflix’s Addams Family spinoff, starring alongside Jenna Ortega as one of Wednesday Addams’s fellow Nevermore Academy students. In Wednesday, Xavier is a psychic son of a famous figure and member of the academy’s elusive Nightshade Society, possessing the ability to bring his artwork to life while also having precognitive dreams that give him visions of a murderous creature lurking across Jericho, leading to him crossing fans with the eldest Addams family child.

What’s Next For Xavier In Wednesday Season 2

Xavier uses his powers during class in Wednesday season 1

While Wednesday season 1 concluded with Wednesday, Xavier, and their classmates solving the mystery behind the gory murders plaguing Jericho, the season concluded with the students of Nevermore parting ways when the death of headmistress Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) and damage inflicted on the school forces the semester to end early. However, during the final moments of Wednesday season 1’s finale, Xavier gifted Wednesday with her own mobile phone upon his name being cleared for the murders, allowing them to maintain contact during the extended break. Despite their friendship being tested when she suspected him of being the Hyde, both students defended each other during Marilyn Thornhill and Joseph Crackstone’s attack, making it clear that Wednesday and Xavier’s relationship is mended.

Despite a record-breaking release for the streaming service, Netflix has yet to greenlight Wednesday season 2, but showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have already teased the show’s future, revealing they have plans for future seasons. With the finale seeing Xavier gift Wednesday with a phone, Wednesday season 2 could explore the students’ lives between semesters at Nevermore, giving a better glimpse at Xavier’s home life. Season 1 hinted that Xavier comes from an incredibly wealthy and famous family through his father, though other students still describe him as a “tortured artist.” As such, it can be assumed that Xavier may be at odds with his family, with Wednesday season 2 seeing him open up to Wednesday about his life after season 1 set up the world of the show.

With Wednesday breaking Netflix viewership records, future seasons of the Addams Family show seem incredibly likely, meaning that audiences can look forward to returning to Nevermore Academy. While being a new addition to the Addams Family mythos, Xavier and the rest of the students of Nevermore Academy have been embraced by audiences, with many viewers anticipating how future seasons can expand upon their stories. As such, steven.vi’s impromptu Xavier cosplay is an impressive celebration of the popular new character’s debut.
