Nick Cannon Spoke About Balancing Time With His Children

The 42-year-old entertainment mogul is gearing up for the launch of his Future Superstar Tour, a 24-city tour that will “10 rising stars ready to shake up the game with their talent.”

Cannon spoke about the upcoming endeavor in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier. And even invited the reporter to tour his Ncredible Southern California office, which features a “DJ room, recording studios, a soundproof game room, a kitchen stocked with snacks and even a playroom for his kids.”

The comedian and entertainment mogul joked that the playroom has a max capacity of 12 people. And additionally added that he has as many jobs as he has children.

Frazier questioned the 42-year-old about how he balances his time between all his children.

Everybody thinks it’s time management. It’s energy management. [Because] once we’re all aligned, the flow is a lot easier. If there’s any kind of low frequencies or dissension in there that’s what messes up the scheduling. As long as we’re all on the same page and we all got the same goal — to be the best parents we could possibly be — that works and then the scheduling is the scheduling.

Nick Cannon Shared His Perspective On Having More Children

Frazier later asked the comedian if he was done having children.

“Yeah, yeah…” Cannon shakily responded. Then went on to explain that he does currently have his “hands full.” However, he’s not the ultimate deciding factor in the matter.

God decides when we’re done [laughs] but I believe I definitely got my hands full. And I’m so focused. I’m locked in.

The 42-year-old went on to add a joke.

But when I’m 85, you never know. I might.

For the time being, however, Cannon is focused on helping his children reach their goals. And paving the way for them to have a successful future.

Hopefully, because of what I am able to do, my kids can do whatever they want to do, to be able to be in a position that if they want to be a nuclear physicist, I know somebody at an Ivy League school that I could [hit up]. If they want to go into the military, if they want to be artists, if they want to be actors, it’s a thing where we have the capability. Let’s start talking about it now so we can help your dreams come true.

The Father Of 12 Also Addressed A Recent TikTok From Ex Mariah Carey & Daughter Monroe

Earlier in the interview, Cannon shared his reaction to his daughter Monroe and ex-wife Mariah Carey sharing a TikTok that has since gone viral. Cannon said that the TikTok video was “epic.” And his daughter Monroe has definitely been bit by the entertainment bug.

I loved it. To be honest, it was epic… My daughter has the entertainment bug… [You can] definitely see that connection with her and her mom. It’s beautiful, the fact that they get to have fun with each other…

He even added that the single is one he produced for Carey, which made the moment even more “special.”

That song that they were doing TikTok to is a song that I produced and worked on with Mariah, so even that made it special… It was a touching moment. It was shocking at first, but then it was awesome. I was like, ‘Alright, I see what y’all are doing, going viral.’

Cannon, however, says he may have to leave the vocal lessons and industry instructions for her daughter Monroe to his ex-wife.

Her and Mariah they doing what they do. I don’t even know if I’m allowed to talk about it, ’cause Mariah’s like, ‘Let me handle this. I got this.’

Cannon shares two children with Mariah Carey, twins Moroccan and Monroe. He also shares three children with Abby De La Rosa, three children with Brittany Bell, one child with Brie Tiesi, and one child with Lanisha Cole. And two children with Alyssa Scott, one of whom passed away in 2021.
