Shannon Beador is shutting down the idea that she’s taking the diabetes medication Ozempic to lose weight.

After the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member shared a video of herself on Instagram as she lifted her shirt to show off her taut tummy at the gym, she was met with an Instagram user who suspected she was “for sure” taking the prescription medication.

“Ozempic for sure,” the person wrote in the comments section of Shannon’s February 15 post.

But Shannon insisted, “Nope…”

Shannon had surfaced on social media to showcase her recent weight loss after dedicating herself to getting healthy for the new year.

“Continuing with my focus on health for 2023 … Working out daily, eating healthy, and taking [Real for Real] Lemon-Aid every morning so I can keep it all going,” she told her fans and followers in her caption.

As Real Housewives fans may know, Shannon isn’t the only Bravolebrity that’s been accused of using Ozempic for weight loss.

In recent weeks, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has faced her fair share of allegations as she continues to show off her own weight loss on social media. And, during an interview with Extra last month, she said she “cannot stand” when people accuse her of using Ozempic.

“People that know me know that I’m up every day like 5:30, 6 a.m. the latest,” she shared. “I’m in the gym for two hours. I really put a lot of effort into my diet and exercise and taking care of myself.”

Shannon’s weight loss comes on the heels of her split from John Janssen at the end of last year.

“We were in a great place. But seven days later, when the cameras were down, it was a completely different story. He told me he was done with the relationship. And to hear what he said to me then was absolutely devastating,” Shannon told PEOPLE in January, noting that she was “blindsided” by the breakup.

“I’ve never loved anyone more in my life,” she continued. “I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way.”

Just one week after the split was made public, John was spotted out with another woman at The Quiet Woman, which is one of Shannon’s favorite restaurants, prompting the fury of Tamra Judge, who shaded John for going to the venue “on purpose” to upset his ex.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 is expected to premiere sometime in the coming months.
