REPORT: Gal Gadot Returning To ‘Fast And Furious’ Series With ‘Fast X’

Gal Gadot’s Gisele Yashar is returning for Fast X.

The Direct reports that Gal Gadot is set to reprise her role as Gisele Yashar for Fast X, the tenth installment of Universal’s Fast and Furious series. According to insiders, Gisele was featured in a recent test screening for Fast X, though it’s unclear if the character is making the final cut of the movie, which wrapped production this past Summer.

Gisele Yashar was introduced in the fourth Fast and Furious movie, working for the villainous Arturo Braga before joining Dominic Toretto and his crew. Gal Gadot was then featured in two more entries in the series, with Gisele meeting her end during the events of Fast & Furious 6.

While Gisele Yashar is currently presumed dead in the Fast and Furious universe, Fast X wouldn’t mark the first time that the series has resurrected a fan-favorite character. Gisele’s love interest Han (played by Sung Kang) was brought back from the dead during the events of last year’s F9, with the movie revealing that he faked his death with the help of Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody.

Louis Leterrier is directing Fast X, working from a script by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau. Leterrier replaced Lin, who stepped down from his post as director over creative differences. Despite his exit from the role, Lin is still credited as a producer alongside Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Clayton Townsend and Samantha Vincent.

The cast of Fast X features Fast and Furious veterans Vin Diesen, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham and Charlize Theron. Franchise newcomers include Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno.

Fast X races into theaters on May 19, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Universal’s Fast and Furious movies and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
