RHOBH's Lisa Rinna Speaks Out Against Balenciaga as Garcelle Slams Controversial Campaign as "Wrong" and Sutton and LVP React

Lisa Rinna spoke out against Balenciaga following the release of a controversial, bondage-themed campaign featuring children on her Instagram Story over the weekend.

As a number of other celebrities shamed the brand for their sick and offensive ads, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member weighed in on the scandal as well as several other hot topics. Plus, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, and Lisa Vanderpump shared statements on their Twitter pages.

“People want me to speak out on Balenciaga yes, those ads were wrong. I think we all agree on that,” Rinna wrote, as seen in a screenshot shared by the Real Housewives Zone on Instagram.

But she didn’t stop there. Instead, the longtime reality star proceeded to give a nod to other controversial figures, suggesting they were more “dangerous” than Balenciaga and Demna Gvasalia, the designer behind the ads.

“I want to speak out on antisemitism and hate on racism and homophobia and Alex Jones and Kanye West, Trump and Elon Musk, and the danger of that because to me that’s what’s really f-cking dangerous,” she noted, adding, “Silence is complicity.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, Garcelle reacted to the scandal, prompting additional messages from RHOBH co-star Sutton and former cast member Vanderpump.

“Obviously the [Balanciaga] campaign was so wrong! Whose in these rooms making these dumb decisions?” Garcelle wondered, including a hashtag for “Protect Our Children.”

“I’ve tweeted some thoughts and a great article to read,” Sutton replied, referencing an article from the New York Post titled, “Balenciaga designer Demna Gvasalia ‘dragging house down’ amid campaign scandal.”

In the article, photo director and magazine editor Olga Liriano slammed the suggestion that Gvasalia and Balenciaga, who has since apologized for the ads, were unaware of what the campaigns would look like after they were shot.

“Oh please,” she said. “Demna doesn’t put out one image that he hasn’t approved. Demna is not only the creative director, he’s driving all the imagery behind the campaigns. To blame a production company is nuts.”

Also on Twitter, Vanderpump responded to Garcelle’s message.

“Funny I just tweeted almost exactly same thing,” Vanderpump said.
