[ad_1]

Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg has broken his silence on the future of Zachary Levi’s DC Universe character. In response to a tweet, Sandberg expressed that the Shazam series could exist in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe if people support its upcoming sequel, titled Fury of the Gods. Sandberg explained that there is nothing in the Shazam sequel that changes what Gunn and Saran have planned for DC. Therefore, the possibility of more Shazam movies is there.

“He definitely won’t if people don’t go see the movie,” Sandberg tweeted about Zachary Levi’s Shazam returning in the DCU. “What I’ve been told is that there’s nothing in the Shazam films that contradict the future plans for DC. So the possibility for more Shazam is there and if that’s what you want your best bet is to go see the film.”

David F. Sandberg’s Twitter message shows that the box office success of Fury of the Gods is crucial for the future of Zachary Levi’s Shazam. Fans who want to see more of the character should support the upcoming film by going to see it in theaters. By doing so, they will demonstrate to Warner Bros. that there is demand for more Shazam movies.

As for the new DC Universe, Sandberg’s comments suggest that there is room for Shazam to be a part of it. Fans of the character will be excited to hear this news, as it opens up the possibility for crossovers and collaborations with other DC Comics characters. However, Sandberg’s comments also imply that nothing is set in stone yet.
